I have had a lot of bad experiences at the dentist which caused me to put off cleanings and needed work for over ten years. About three years ago I went to a large practice in Raleigh with multiple offices and was told that I “might” need 3-4 root canals and 3-4 crowns. The fact that the other practice could not give me a straight answer resulted in my putting off the work. I didn’t want someone to grind off a portion of a tooth only to tell me in the middle of the treatment I would actually need major work. Candidly, I have had anxiety about my teeth ever since that other appointment. It was the fear of the unknown. An hour and a half with Renaissance and that anxiety is now gone. Renaissance gave me straight answers and eliminated my fear of dental work. While the other practice guessed about what I might need, (I was given a “range” of prices depending on what the dentist “found”) Dr. Abernathy and her team were able to tell me what I need to have done and exactly what it will cost. In other words, we are going into the procedure with a plan as opposed to going exploring. Even though I haven’t been to the dentist in a long time, Renaissance is only suggesting what I need to get caught up. In other words, they are not using my poor track record of avoiding the dentist against me to fear monger and upsell me on a bunch of services I don’t need. The office is great. It doesn’t smell like a dental office. It doesn’t look like a dental office. It doesn’t feel like you are at the dentist. I’ll have to admit when I walked in I was a little concerned that the services would be super expensive because it is almost like being at a country club or a spa. In fact, the price I was quoted for my work was actually thousands of dollars less than the low end of the range I was quoted by the other folks that didn’t know what I really needed. If you have been putting off dental work, like me, or are just looking for a dental practice like no other, Renaissance is the practice you need to call. I felt comfortable, I did not feel judged or criticized, and I felt like this practice genuinely wants to help me and do good work. I never thought I would be excited about going to the dentist, but honestly, my appointment for fillings can’t get here fast enough.

You won't find a more professional group of dentists in the Triangle. My experience with Renaissance Dental is over-the-top. All of the work I've had done has been a wonderful experience, even through COVID. They treat you like family. Highly recommended!

I’m not entirely sure where to begin…all around the best service I’ve ever encountered at a dental facility. The staff were all delightful and welcoming. This was a huge step for me as I have had a traumatic experience with a dentist growing up but the team at Renaissance quickly calmed my nerves and delivered a great experience. Vicci, Erin and Dr. Jill are a fantastic team of professionals. I never liked going to the dentist. In fact, to be honest, I have always dreaded it. But this group is as close to pain free, hassle free dentistry as you can get. And they are very open and honest about what they are doing and why they are doing it. I also like the price estimates they provide prior to initiating any work. No surprises. I highly recommend these folks.

Renaissance Dental is truly the best around. I got to interact with Vicci and Erin for the first time today and they were so personable and attentive. I honestly felt like I was at home talking with family. I’ve known Dr. Sonner for years and it was great to see her as always. I really appreciate that Dr. Sonner cares about me as a person and even though we are wearing masks now, her smile still shines through the mask and lights up the room. From the moment you walk in, you receive first class service. Everyone you interact with is always kind and the overall atmosphere makes me look forward to my next visit!

Dr. Abernathy Vicci Heather = BEST CARE IN THE DENTAL WORLD! This dental office truly make you feel like family. Their professionalism and gentle nature is something I’ve never experience with a dental office. The office is extremely clean and I felt very safe there!

The dentists here are great. They are warm and friendly as well as professional. They will spend time with you. Dr Sonner is funny, talking to her feels like talking to a friend. Years ago in a new mom sleep-deprived stupor I decided to start Invisalign and backed out because I realized it was a commitment I couldn’t make. Because it meant I couldn’t graze on the kids leftovers all day without brushing 10,000 times per day. They gave me a refund, no questions even though it was my fault. The office is clean, there is hardly any wait time. Also, I like supporting women-owned business.

This was the best dental experience I’ve ever had! The team was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. It has been a few years since I’ve gone to the dentist and they made it so easy. Highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for a new dentist.

After not going to the dentist for 10 years (from a bad experience) I finally decided to try Renaissance - they were not only comforting, friendly, and welcoming - but they are all incredibly skilled and my experience is nothing short of enjoyable - despite needing a lot of work! They outline everything, walk you through each part of what their doing, and explain all your costs and options before scheduling an appointment. They came highly recommended to me and I will recommend them to everyone I can. For someone who was terrified of the dentist, to someone who is excited to go now - they are the BEST!

I have been going to Renaissance Dental for about two years and have had consistently great experiences. The dentists and the technicians are skilled, communicative and accommodating. I don’t love going to the dentist but they make it such an easy experience. I had pain after getting a crown and they were determined to figure out why (shout out to Davita!), even though it took extra time and effort. Highly recommended.

I wish I could give Renaissance Dental more than 5 stars! From the moment I walk in, until the time I leave, customer service is above and beyond. Vicci is not only the most wonderful dental hygienist, she is also someone that I consider a friend! Her kind, upbeat and positive attitude is contagious! She sparkles (and makes my teeth do the same!) and I’m so thankful for her! Not to mention, Dr. Anna is the best. These ladies (and the whole practice) are just fabulous!

Amazing experience during this pandemic in every one of my dentist visits. I felt absolutely comfortable while I was there for my appointments. The staff made me feel safe while through my entire appointment. Everyone was wearing a mask at all times and maintained at least 6 feet of distance. The facility was maintained impecable and sanitized at all times. I would recommend it to anyone looking to for a new dentist! Hands down the best!
