I may have written a review when I first started as a patient here, but I figure I'd write a new one since I've been here a few years. The customer care and service here is just over the top. Moreover, my dentist and hygienist are incredibly skilled and knowledgeable. Dr. Sonner and Vicki are two of the best healthcare professionals I've ever met in my life. I'm a very critical person and truly cannot say one bad thing about this place. What they have created here is amazing, and I hope they are able to maintain it. As long as I live in the area, this will always be my dental home. Trips to the dentist were always an unpleasant experience for me until the day I became a patient here. Dr. Sonner and Carla are fabulous! I’ve always had a fear of dentists and these two ladies are helping to cure me of this. I cracked my tooth and they were able to fit me in their schedule quickly. Unfortunately, I needed a crown. Even though I was sitting in the dentist chair, they had me laughing the entire time and it didn’t hurt at all. Thank you so much Dr. Sonner and Carla! I recently moved to Raleigh from Rochester, NY and needed a dentist. I met Dr. Abernethy through my business and she invited me in to her practice for a consult. Upon arrival, Britney greeted me at the front desk with a friendly hello and got me signed in. She is really sweet and helped set my follow up visit as well. The office is really beautiful. Imagine going to a calm, relaxing day spa, but for your teeth. Carli & Mel were my dental Hygienists. Carli took x-rays and very detailed images of my teeth and Mel took measurements of my gums around each tooth. Very professional, extremely thorough as to not miss any bit of information about my teeth. Carli just got accepted into grad school for dentistry and was very proud of her accomplishment...CONGRATS!! You will make an exceptionable Dentist. She was also very proud of being able to work for such an accomplished dentist as Dr Abernethy and values the knowledge she gained while learning from her. Both Carli and Mel were very friendly, made me really comfy to be in a dentist chair, explaining every part of their professional services being done, and telling me all the benefits of each procedure. They are wonderful!!! After working with Carli & Mel, it was time to see the big boss, the principle in charge, ...The Big Bad Scary Dentist. I have a mental image of every Dentist wearing smelly rubber gloves, with a mask that muffles the confusing things they are saying, has goofy goggle-glasses on, and big bushy eyebrows that consume my attention as they work in my teeth hanging over those glasses haha. DR. ABERNETHY IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF THAT. I felt like I was sitting in my backyard lounge chair and my neighbor stopped over for a chat and some tea...and to look at my teeth because what neighbor doesn't. She is very engaging, very nice, extremely personable and really sweet. Such a wonderful person but at the same time very professional with the services she provides. I could tell she is a master of her craft. Dr. Abernethy treated me as though we were long time friends and not as another patient in a rather busy day. I HIGHLY recommend her services and suggest making an appointment today to work with her staff. Dr. Abernethy, you rock!!! You were able to take an anxious dentist visit for me and turn it into an enjoyable time full of laughs. Keep up the great work and attention to detail. My assistant, Carli, took me through the most thorough and and relaxing dental exam I've ever had. And Dr. Wells did a phenomenal job educating me on my dental needs.
