I have been learning English Language from Richard this year and it has been a great experience. He is a very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of thought into how he presents the material and has amazing resources. His lessons are engaging, practical, useful, and he is very patient with everyone in class. He is always encouraging his students. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning English Language.

As a Year 12 Language student, I have found Richard is well prepared and well versed in the curriculum. I have found he has helped me to better find examples to put in my essays, and how to add them into my essays to make the paragraphs flow more. Definitely recommend!

The tutoring classes in partnership with the detailed resources has not only improved my skills in the subject but also my confidence. Richard gives us step-by-step strategies which we can apply to tasks to see success for ourselves! Whenever I go into an English Language assessment now, I feel confident knowing I have had great support and the high level strategies to do well (which have saved me when I have a mind blank!)

I have had a highly positive experience with Richard's tutoring services so far. Unlike most teachers who take a broader approach to teaching the English Language, Richard focuses more on exam preparation and scoring well, which is beneficial for students like us who are primarily concerned with achieving a high ATAR and getting into university.
The great thing is that we don't have to choose between the two approaches. I have found that combining the knowledge gained at school with Richard's weekly lectures and regular exam practice has been the most effective study method for me. This way, I can deal with the required school curriculum and then apply that knowledge with Richard's guidance, ensuring I am well-prepared for exams.
The resources provided by Richard have been incredibly helpful, and his teaching approach is logical and process-oriented. This makes it much easier to understand, especially for someone like me who is studying a STEM-heavy VCE course. In particular, the student resource hub on Notion is extremely useful and convenient for consolidating metalanguage as well as understanding the AC and Essay structures. I could not recommend Richard more. Not only is he a skilled tutor, but he's also really humble, despite getting a perfect 50 in English Language. Not only are you getting weekly lessons, but also video tutorials, prior lesson recordings, and cheatsheets, including a metalanguage cheatsheet that explains all the stuff you need to know in depth, all found in one compact Notion Student Resources Hub. Having him as your tutor will be the best decision you make in VCE.

Helped me evolve from a 9/15 to a 13/15 in AC writing in the span of 4 weeks. There was a step-by-step process which allowed me to rinse and repeat a formula just like how people would in maths/science.
