We cannot say enough great things about our experience with Kevin Goodwin! When we started looking for a vacation condo in the Myrtle Beach area, we knew absolutely nothing—no neighborhoods, no market insight, and no idea where to begin. From our very first conversation, Kevin took the time to understand our needs and gave us a comprehensive tour of the entire Grand Strand, from Murrells Inlet all the way up to Cherry Grove.
His knowledge of the area was outstanding—not just about the real estate market, but also about the unique character of each community. He gave us valuable insight into rental income potential, HOA rules, and the pros and cons of different locations, which was exactly what we needed as out-of-towners.
What really impressed us was his patience and honesty. He never rushed us or pushed us toward any decision. Instead, he took the time to answer every question thoroughly (and we had a lot!), always giving us straightforward, honest advice.
Communication was excellent—he was always quick to respond via phone, text, or email, no matter the time of day. On top of all that, he went out of his way to make our visits enjoyable by recommending great restaurants and places to stay while we explored the area.

When we made the decision to sell our beach condo, I knew exactly who I was calling! We had received sale offers from Gene not long after we purchased our condo. I called to be removed from the marketing list and spoke with Gene. He convinced me to keep receiving the market emails, just to stay in touch with the value of our place. They were not pushy or overbearing with emails and kept us informed of the sales market in the area.
After 5 years of ownership, personal circumstances had us needing to sell our property. I called Gene, told him he was the sales person we wanted, arranged to meet and for him to see our condo. Told him the price we were thinking about and he said "hold on, let me see the property first.". He came in and agreed with us. We loved our little get-a-way in NMB, and hope you have another one someday. And when that time comes, I know who I will be calling! Gene and the staff are great to deal with. If you’re looking to buy or sell, then give Kevin a call, he’s the best!!! He went out of his way in making sure our purchased went without any issues, and if there were any, he made sure things got back on track, and quickly. Our purchase was from NY to SC and he kept in communication with us the whole time, he was our eyes and ears to what was happening.
We don’t plan on selling or purchasing another home, but if we did, Kevin would be first on our list to call.

After a very long and challenging home purchasing process, I am thrilled to recommend our buyer's agent, Ms Teressa Carter, and the entire Gene Carter, Beach Pro Team. Our process took 6 years as we were living overseas and weren't even sure in what East Coast city we wanted to retire. Being from out of state, I reached out to the Beach Pro Team and let them know what I was looking for. I was put into direct contact with, Sales Associate Kevin Goodwin. Kevin listened intently to our desires in a home and got to work immediately. He would send us emails of homes to peruse that met our criteria and we began to compile a list to visit when we arrived in South Carolina.
I continued to work with Kevin and he spent a couple full days with us when we visited South Carolina, showing us properties, answering questions and sharing his knowledge of the area and buying process. We ultimately went with a new build and Kevin was nothing short of incredible during the 5-6 month process.
During our building process, Kevin stayed in constant contact with me ensuring any questions I had were answered or if there was anything he could do for us. He would occasionally go by the home and send us pictures. Kevin even attended a pre drywall inspection and FaceTimed us in during the couple hour process. He also came to the first walk through inspection and helped “blue tape” imperfections that we may have missed.
Building/buying a home when you are 650 miles away is quite stressful. Kevin Goodwin was instrumental in minimizing our stress. He is professional, attentive, patient and effectively communicates with all parties involved in the process. I cannot recommend this team and specifically, Kevin Goodwin enough for your real estate needs. Thank you again!

Gene is NOT your average realtor.....he is a professional. He is willing to do the "extra" and not just put you on a list to automatically send you listings when they come on to the MLS like SOOOO many others do....hoping that you do the work and every day , scour the new listings in your desired areas and then , hopefully call to make purchase!! He will spend money and put in work and not just count on you to do the work yourself to find your place .
