It is a consistent and reliable daily challenge. The drills are well thought out and easy to navigate. Tony is definitely someone I would enjoy meeting one day (which I hope will likely happen as we are only a couple hundred miles from one another) My only issue (and it is MY issue) is that I have been "noodling" on the guitar on and off for 40 years. This makes doing the daily challenges fairly easy for the most part however I don't seem to be learning to play guitar. While my dexterity is getting better it seems that it is just more noodling. This is likely my own issue and fault as I work long hours and have been dealing with first the excessive heat wave and then the smoke we have been experiencing here in Montana. I leave my house at 5 AM and get home at 7 PM... after having dinner and trying to get my house cool enough to sleep and safe to get out my guitars, it leaves little time to practically apply what Tony is laying down. I may be missing something but it would be nice to have a little more input on the applying side of things. Keep up the good work Tony!!! I am NOT going to give up and my noodling is improving.One day I will likely figure it out.

Tony's motto is "you've never played as consistently," and it is entirely accurate. The daily challenge routine is very addictive, challenging, and motivating. The lessons are unique: Tony doesn't teach you how to play a specific play song or style. He teaches you all aspects of playing the guitar, so you can develop your own style and create your own music in time. I love the constant exposure to new styles and techniques: the lessons vary between chords, flatpicking, fingerstyle, fretboard navigation, improvisation, etc. Yet there is a system, so it's not chaotic, and the lessons build upon each other. It also helps that Tony has a great teaching style and personality. The lessons are never cringy or irritating, and the explanations are always clear and to the point.

Money well spent on a program that is progressive and lead to musical fluidity, simply by playing daily for a few minutes. Tony method not only works; it is a fun journey that will realize your best guitar playing life. I recommend joining TAC sooner than later, for TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE. Every day not playing is lost for ever.

Tony has an intuitive style of teaching, and there is a huge amount of video lessons (skills) on the site. Pretty much every style is available, and the daily challenges assist with familiarity with the fretboard, speed development, and overall confidence. I also like the forums, where we can hear others' playing and experiences in their acoustic guitar journeys. And, with the variety of lessons/skills, daily practice becomes much, much easier. I have just begun this journey, and am looking forward to continued learning, and will hopefully be playing songs and one day becoming a "fretboard wizard" from this experience.

I recommend this if you have a guitar that collects dust, but know the basics and want to get back into the habit of noodling. It gets me to pick up my guitar almost every day, and I love that Tony's from Schaumburg, IL. That doesn't mean anything to anyone from outside of that region, but listening to his goofy banter is like a nice taste of home for me. This course is more like a monthly sample platter. I wish there was the option to go back to previous months' lessons, but you can only advance forward and can't return to older lessons that took place a month or more before the current time you log into the course. I learned the hard way that if you like a certain lick or riff, you need to print the tab for it or it's gone forever once the new month rolls around - or if you renew - it's gone until that lesson comes around again the next year. I think it's probably better as a supplemental course one could take with another course that builds a skillset sequentially towards a specific goal. But after saying all that, I haven't been this consistent about picking up my guitar since I moved from Chicago and stopped taking in-person lessons at the Old Town School of Folk Music. So yes, I do recommend this. As a bonus, Tony's Chicagoland through and through, a hockey fan and I'd bet money that he's as Polish as he is goofy. Definitely entertaining and fun.

I tuned into Tony’s 45 minute video and now I’m on day 3! I’ve played guitar off and on for many years and I have been looking for a way to connect with a teacher during these challenging pandemic days. This is simply a great way to either start playing for the first time or like me take my guitar out of the closet. I was hesitant to sign up for yet another guitar program but this one has already pushed me to another level! Plus there’s an expansive community to connect with. Thanks Tony!
