I am one of the original TAC (Tony's Acoustic Challenge) members.
When I began I knew very little and now, I even amaze myself and love to listen to the music that I am creating with my own hands!
Let me attempt to explain the key parts of what I've learned at TAC ...
Please don't think that learning guitar is a destination because it's not!
Learning guitar is all about the journey and it is wonderful trip at TAC!
TAC provides you a gourmet's buffet of guitar knowledge from which you can pick and choose exactly what you need, even as your needs change and evolve and they certainly will!
Daily lessons, focused courses, special monthly events (with give away guitars!), and the amazing, optional song library as well as more advanced course offerings that you can add to your guitar brain, if you choose and I am absolutely convinced that they are all a true bargain but the surprise bonus is the TAC online community!
Mostly, I've found TAC to be my daily, mini vacation away from the world! When I'm playing and learning new warm-ups, licks, chords, techniques or improvisations, my mind becomes focused on that alone. You'll be amazed at the mental health benefits of that short reprieve from the world. With TAC the hard thing is to stop playing guitar each day because it is so much fun!
As a fixed income retiree, I am very careful with my limited money. I have to be! My suggestion for you is to just 'try it' for a year and save yourself some money. Anyway, there is far too much to see and do on TAC when your are paying monthly. And the years go faster than you will imagine!
During that year you can relax and explore TAC's many opportunities and decide which ones to focus on, next.
The wonderful TAC staff AND the amazing TAC community are there to work with you through all of your challenges on your personal guitar journey!
And as a TAC 'old timer', I can tell you that you will be amazed at how quickly TAC itself evolves and brings you along with it for the thrilling ride into the future! They just keep adding more and more new great stuff for us ... I am eternally thankful for everyone at TAC HQ and on the TAQ forums!!!
So don't wait ... jump on this guitar train before it pulls out of your station!
Happy tunes and I'll see you, in the forums!
