Great guitar learning community, more adequate for beginner/intermediate players. The daily exercise methodology is a plus!

It's a huge help to have a structured lesson and practice plan. Tony is an effective and engaging teacher who is able to convince you that you really CAN learn. The community is an added blessing. It's encouraging when you realize you're not alone. I'm really glad I did this!

TAC gives me something to focus on and a much better perspective on playing music; it should bring joy and I've never been happier to pick up my guitar every day and get a little better, whether it be transitioning chords, finger picking, learning scales, learning a new lick or just seeing what I can do on solo days, it's genuinely fun.

There is always something to dust off and improve. So far TAC has allowed me to revive that eye/hand coordination. Tony gives some fun things to learn, that I never learned, but always wanted to play. I have been playing for decades and some things just never got worked on. The video examples are so helpful. It was refreshing the other day when I kept missing steps, so I opened the "TAB". I don't like tab because I am left-handed, but he did have classic notation as well!! I can read that and it put me at ease. So, this approach is working for me, except, I have not gotten the daily practice down pat, COVID has me working at home most days, so I try to take a break at least one time, and go over a couple of lessons. I do recommend this stuff. Oh...and so far, the community is what I am looking for. Geeks supporting geeks. Positive, uplifting. 🦋

The practice pieces are good and they actually make one want to pick up the guitar

I’m 63. I‘ve been playing guitar since I was 15. I took lessons for two years however at 15 you want to learn and play ROCK; not just learn scales and short songs. Other than playing with other people I’m mostly self taught. I play CSN, Doobie Bro’s and other bands from the ‘70’s. I want to learn more so that I can learn faster and play better. I have a guitar studio with an impressive Guitarsenal. I also have amps, speakers, and PA. All of this fine equipment has not made me a better player. I have a rich library of music and educational material, and I’m still not a very good guitar player. One must play to become an excellent player. One must spend time playing, learning, and applying what has been learned to become “the player”. Most of us are bombarded by Facebook ads promoting Guitar Instruction. I see them daily in my Email stream and on Facebook. I elected to join TAC. I selected the Lifetime option. Thus far I’ve really enjoyed Tony’s instruction method. Tony takes time to explain many details about WHY a chord or method is necessary. Tony also makes learning fun by introducing his life into the material. I enjoy his love of Game Show host personalities and how he relates to them. Tony then writes a practice scale and names it after the Game Show host. This makes learning fun. Tony also introduced a portion of his personal guitar inventory (guitarsenal). Playing 5 - 7 guitars in a session allows a musician to hear the different tones produced by various woods in each guitar. These tones and sounds also change from the size of the guitar. This is an excellent presentation for students so they can have ideas of what guitars to pursue in future purchases. I believe TAC is excellent course work for anyone that wants to learn guitar. Although Acoustic is the middle Capital in TAC (Tony’s Acoustic Challenge), acoustic guitar is played in all types of music. To learn how to play guitar, a person should own an acoustic guitar. Acoustic guitars are portable. Good acoustic guitars are very playable. Some of my favorite R&R tunes have both acoustic and electric guitar leads. All guitarists should learn acoustic guitar. I’ve really enjoyed TAC and although I can’t play everyday, I enjoy every minute I’m with TAC!

It has only been a couple weeks since I joined TAC but I must say I am extremely pleased. I found TAC while searching the internet for guitar helps and I'm glad I did. I like how everything is organized. I like the structure. I like Tony's easy-going style in his lessons. There is clearly a vast amount of content for me to learn and learn is what I plan to do. I am an intermediate guitar player and TAC looks to be great for beginners, intermediate and advanced players. It will require a lot of practice on my part but I looking forward to being a much better player as a result of TAC. And by the way, it is a lot of fun.
