Hi Tony and all the TAC community, My name is Ben and I started the 30 days to play challenge about 3 weeks ago and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn, or improve at playing the guitar. Tony's style of teaching and his approach are exactly how I learn. I have tried other online classes, ones that have the word master in the title, without luck. I was a bit skeptical at first, because I learned about it from a youtube ad, which is how I learned about the other one. but after watching the 45 minute video, I figured I did not have anything to loose. WOW, I was hooked right away, not like the other. I like it because you can set the pace and you see results IMMEDIATELY! It is a progressive learning system and the foundations are strong, I just wish I could get my chord transitions down a little faster! 🤣 I do feel like I shouldn't move on to the next lesson until I am quite proficient at that, because it is making the strumming patterns harder to not be that good at transitions. BUT, practice, practice, practice. I will complete the entire course in 30 days, but I find myself not wanting to move forward without having a good grip on the lesson. I am looking forward to practice everyday, eager about the next steps, and excited to see where this guitar journey takes me. My guitars were gifts from my father who started playing several years ago, and they have been sitting around my house for 2 years. I always made excuses for why I was not playing, and now, thanks to TAC, they are finally being used. Thanks for everything Tony and the TAC community, and stay safe out there!!

I am really enjoying the TAC program. I've only been participating for a couple of weeks but after leaving my beautiful guitar in the case for way too long I am enjoying the challenge of relearning to play. Tony is a terrific teacher. I really like his comfortable style in front of the camera. His explanations are clear, straightforward and concise so I don't feel overwhelmed and the videos are excellent. I'm closing now, got a class to take and looking forward to seeing how these 72 year old fingers can make some music. Thanks Tony!

Great course Tony. Love the variety and challenge of your lessons. Already realize the extra benefits beyond the face value of each days sessions. Other aspects of playing while practicing each day are gained along with the lesson. Looking forward to each day.

I am about two weeks into my TAC experience and I am very impressed so far. As someone who played a decent amount 25 years ago, much of what I used to know has come back very quickly. This time around, though, I am learning essential, foundational skills that I never picked up as a mostly-self taught teenager. The success of Tony's program is almost certainly rooted his sound pedagogical and educational strategies. As a dedicated science teacher of 15 years, much of what I see while doing my daily practice is familiar. Tony gets the students interest with a hook - a clever cultural reference or joke, then clearly explains the rationale for why a guitarist would need the skill that will be demonstrated. He then shows it in a simple, clear way. Tony scaffolds all skills and encourages students to strive for accuracy, regardless of speed. He also differentiates, based on tempo. Most impressively, Tony's program encourages regular reflection of its students - the hallmark of quality teaching. Students also have opportunities for revision and extra practice in the form of enrichment - including extra mini-courses (Intro to Fingerstyle being my favorite so far). Needless to say, I would recommend TAC to any guitar player who would like to improve! The program rings true to its claim that guitar playing should be fun, because it is!

It is so wonderful to be able to pick the speed of exercises, as well as review the lessons. I am being challenged to face areas that I have avoided for YEARS, and have determination, not intimidation! Tony’s approach is playful. After all, we play guitar, not work guitar, right? 😜👍🎸

Just adding my two cents here. I found Tony while searching youtube, listened to his story and decided to slow down and pick up my guitar again in earnest. I am just starting the 30 days to play program and (being a deeply disturbed Jenkins) am trying to stay on track. To be honest I not a joiner or follower type (Jenkins again I think-LOL), but Tony's simple and encouraging approach appealed to me. I have three guitars. One is an old Gibson that my mom bought me when I started to play when I was a teenager (I just turned 71). I just spent the last half hour looking for the Gibson but can't seem to locate it. Ummm? The second is an old Epiphone Les Paul starburst (electric), the third is a EG363C Takamine that I bought seven years ago (the last time I tried to start playing again-Jenkins on steroids-yikes!), and that's what I am playing now. I promised myself that if I continue on the program for nine months that I will buy myself a Martin. Loving it so far. Tony and the gang at TAC... Man these songs are so fun, and breaks learning down to a science. I noticed my technique is getting a lot better and im picking up songs and freestyling so much better now! Glad I decided to join. 😊
