I thoroughly enjoyed the fretboard wizard course and highly recommend it. I came into the course absolutely clueless, but I learned a lot in the course. Learning about the makeup of scales, the chord matrix, and transposition will certainly help in my current playing as well as serve as a foundation in further learning. The course is informal, but that doesn't mean a lack of structure. I've always seen quick answers to questions and encouragement and support are also the norm. This course is certainly worth the time and effort. I'll definitely be going through this again.

I can always find something new and interesting. I can find practice, new songs and themed lessons. I look forward to it every day. it's awesome and fun. How many things can you say that about?

Tony is the best when it comes to explaining everything you ever wanted to know about playing the guitar! I took the Fretboard Wizard course and was blown away by what I learned about music theory. It was a tremendous feeling to truly understand how keys, cords, scales and cord matrices work together to help you understand how notes come together to make music. All this, and learning how to incorporate the entire fret board to make it all happen. I wanted to know how to make more use of the fret board and I sure got an education! If you are serious about playing with a much better understanding of what, why, and where --- take this course first!! Beginner or advanced, everyone needs this course. SIgn up now! I am so glad I did and you will be too! Now it's on to Tony's Acoustic Challenge!

Tom Cribbin here from Stamford CT. Fretbd Wiz has opened my eyes to what's behind the music. I have played AT guitar for 50 years but never felt I got anywhere. A couple of years ago I gave up golf and decided to really go after my guitar again. I found several on-line teachers very helpful including Jerry's Guitar Bar (Song Tabs) and The Secret Garden (Lots of Theory) but TAC has been the mother lode. I hesitated to sign up for Fretbd Wiz because I was intimidated. I thought I didn't know enough to participate. I thought it would be over my head. But after slowly taking in as much as I could over the next few years, I thought what the heck, if I'm not ready yet I never will be. So I started out taking baby steps. I signed up for his Warm up class. He teaches 30 warm ups for finger picking and flat picking. It was challenging and fun. I still do them. I almost signed up each of the last two years but life intervened and either time or money was an issue, Finally the stars aligned and I took the plunge. One thing that really needs to be stated and really can't be overstated is Tony's demeanor while teaching. He is the reason Fretbd Wiz works. He mixes humor with wisdom or (Wiz dom) to create a great learning experience. After you get a couple of lessons in and realize how the whole fretbd is laid out; the patterns that repeat; where to find a C note anywhere on the guitar, the LIGHTBULBs start flashing like Christmas tree lights. So the theory is taught in an unintimidating way and at your own pace. You have to put in the time but if you do the reward is there. Then Tony's quizzes are practical applications of the theory. And they're lots of fun. I spent more than a few mornings taking the quizzes over and over even though I got them right because I was having a great time! Here's the kicker; I also signed up for Tony's Acoustic Challenge at the same time. And that's great too. We just took the 5 day pulloff challenge. It's helping me in playing Dan Fogelberg's "Leader of the Band". There is a double pulloff from "G - A -G: and then reaching down to the D string with my pinky for the F# (Warmups coming in handy) and then double hammerdowns from open D and B strings to C and E (Warmups again) which leads to the end of the Intro. One of the best surprises I found was that after taking Fretbd Wiz and TAC I've gone back to the tab songs and find that I can play them much smoother than before. And some that were too challenging are coming easily now. Finally, I have to comment on Tony's encouraging videos. Seems like every day I get another slap on the back about not giving up or a story about reaching your goal. Or one that gives a tip like how to roll your index finger to more effectively bar the dreaded "F" chord (so aptly named). I would recommend both of these courses to anyone of any experience level. I strongly recommend not only Fretboard Wizard but also Tony's Acoustic Challenge. Permit me to be word.,y here. I am a physician and each day I have to explain processes to my patient. I draw diagrams, schematics and explain basic functions of organs. My patients have virtually always said that the fact that they now UNDERSTAND the basics, the mechanisms, their diagnosis and treatment makes sense. That is Tony's basic philosophy. Can you understand the basic science, math and reasoning behind the guitar. I love that her helps us neophytes out here understand guitar theory in bite sized chunks, bit by bit, day by day. It has made an incredible difference. This is a monster giant step for a guy whose previous guitar experience was looking at chord diagrams in his Mel Bay collection and trying to mimic them and then giving up. TAC and Fretboard Wizard has been the best thing to happen to this guitar geek.

Having been self taught for 45 years, with passages of time away from playing, I didn't rate my chances of ever being able to jam along with other musicians. My understanding of the fretboard was limited and straying from the first few frets created a kind of panic. Well not any longer. After a year with Tony I am more confident as a player and performer. Tony's system of warmups, scales, licks, rhythms and the opportunity to post my efforts and receive feedback and encouragement from the guitar community is outstanding. Fretboard wizard course - I wish I had done it sooner. It filled in many gaps in my knowledge and has a very practical application. I hesitated because of the cost initially but I have to say it is very worthwhile for someone with little understanding or someone with more experience and knowledge. Thanks Tony and crew - you rock!

for me, as a freelancer with very few control of free time for practice (unfortunately), I really appreciate the fact I can download video and tabs of the lessons, print it and practice where I don't have net connection.... saying Tony is a good teacher would be useless, just watch youtube ,)
