My favorite instrument has always been acoustic guitar. The “little orchestra”. Blues, jazz, country, ragtime, contemporary, etc., just nothing quite like it to reach the into the spirit of humanity and tell a story musically. I achieved a certain level some 40 years ago, then put it aside to live a practical life. A year ago the bug surfaced and I purchased a cheapo guitar to get back to my youthful roots. Ha. After about 3 weeks of wandering about, without specific goals, and suffering from fingers that were absolutely killing me; well I succumbed to the realization that I was not going to reach the level of Leo Kottke, Rev. Gary Davis, or Doc Watson anytime in this life. I gave the guitar to one of our grandkids. Six months passed and I still wanted to at least come back to a level permitting some decent in-home entertainment. (I’m 73, retired, and certainly have the time.) I purchased a decent Taylor guitar and while I was at it looked about for some really good online instruction. I came upon Tony and TAC, and jumped in with both feet. Three weeks into the course content at this point and all I can say is that I’m a very very happy camper! Absolutely a great program for any acoustic player from beginner to advanced and every level in between. I can recommend TAC to anyone. And any musician (meaning Tony) who can trade licks with Tommy Emmanuel has my respect as a teacher. Oh, and Tony’s goofy sense of upbeat humor is so appreciated… always looking forward to the next challenge! Well done, Tony, and five stars from this old timer.
