I’ve been playing “at” guitar for years but haven’t had the discipline or structure to practice daily. Kids and career always take precedence. I have more time now and am also part of a group that plays bluegrass gospel locally. I owe it to the group to get better at this so I joined TAC. After a few weeks I can’t say that I’m a virtuoso a the acoustic guitar yet but I can feel it heading in the right direction. There is a ton of stuff on the website so I never get board. Honestly some of the lessons are a bit above my skill level and some are things I already know, but I view this as an adventure—not a journey with a destination. So far so good. Thanks to Tony and the gang for making things accessible and easy to understand.

So, my nephew gave me a guitar, it’s a little beat up but when he played it, it sounded great. Me, not so much. I immediately signed up for online lessons that didn’t really work for me, I couldn’t keep up and felt like maybe I wasn’t going to be a guitar player after all. Then I watched a review by Tony for a few guitars and really liked his style and candidness. I dropped my other online lesson and signed up for TAC. The community is fantastic, very supportive and I love listening to others play. I’m almost done with the Blues 101 lesson and I can finally play a riff—doesn’t sound like much but I’ve only been playing for a few months so for me, it’s a huge win. After working with TAC for several weeks, I can tell that even as a true beginner, this is a great place to be. There are a lot of extremely talented folks here that are seasoned players and they are willing to share that talent and encourage us rookies. Loving every minute of it!

I love Tony’s teaching style, which is very direct and concise. All of the different lessons keep practicing happening with ease. If your goal is to stay active with playing then TAC is a must! 😁🙌

I signed up for Tony's Acoustic Challenge a few weeks ago. I have been trying to play the guitar for the past twenty plus years with no real progress. I have payed for private lessons ( from really good instructors ), gone online for tidbits, purchased books, bought video courses, ...and am still a beginner at being a guitar player. After about two weeks with TAC, I feel that things are finally going to change. I was worried that TAC was going to be too far above my level of ability, but I couldn't"t have been more wrong. Every lesson has something for everyone. Advanced players might be able to refine skills, while beginners like me are teaching their hands to move around a guitar. The daily lesson has gotten me excited because I find myself playing more, and building both the physical and mental muscle required to be the player that I want to be. When you add in the positive support that comes from Tony and his crew, as well as the greater TAC community, you can not help but achieve your goals as a guitar player. If you are sitting on the fence, do yourself a favor and jump on in! The water is FINE!!!

After completing day 1 of Tony’s 10-day Acoustic Challenge online, I was certain that Tony and crew were onto something big and extraordinary so I can’t say that there was any hesitation to join the TAC community and begin what I would consider my first, real guitar journey. Not to say that I haven’t tried multiple times in life to play the guitar because this in fact my third attempt but with TAC’s approach it’s so vastly different. I’ve never had a teacher, a platform or a community full of support like this one to learn a skill. Tony genuinely loves everything guitar, wants to share the experience and it shows with the energy and enthusiasm he brings to the table. TAC provides a place for a skill to grow naturally and never leaves you hanging without a logical segway to build upon something that you’ve already learned. Tony describes it as “living an acoustic life” and that’s the perfect description because the approach isnt just about playing the guitar. You’re going to discover amazing musicians to listen to and inspire your play, you’ll be introduced to very cool, small batch gear manufacturers and luthiers that are passionate about their craft and you’ll have access to the entire community of players and guitar fanatics of all levels that are progressing alongside you and supporting one another along the way. There are members with 30-40 years experience as well as newbie musicians that are learning the parts and strings of a guitar that share their small wins. There is something for everyone here and so there’s a lot of material to explore which is was initially a bit overwhelming. I since learned that there isn’t an expectation to get through it all or a timetable to keep pace with. It’s all about just playing the guitar, even if for only 10 minutes a day. Simple. Just play, have fun and the progress will come. That’s why we’re all here. I’m forever thankful to have stumbled upon TAC. Acoustic-life changer. :)

I've played guitar, or should say strummed chords and sang, for 25 years and I was as Tony puts it, in a guitar rut. I was bored with everything I was playing, I wanted more. So I joined up, and within the first couple of weeks learned some really cool stuff, and have even been able to add a really cool lick to finish up a song. That's exactly the kind of thing I was wanted. I'm excited again and ready to learn more. I think anyone from brand new, to at least a pretty experienced strummer can learn a lot here.

Ok so I come from a family of self made musicians! Comes easy to them. Me, I never really wanted to compete. They were all good. Then married a musician. again loved being around it but me play nah. That portion of life passed and I got busy raising kids etc, life!! Then several years ago I decided I can do this and am kicking myself for not taking advantage of my former opportunities. So ran across Tony’s site and it looks good. Better still lots of great reviews by participants. So this job I have takes most of my day but I generally have some minutes at nite! My brother loaned me a guitar and wahlah will be working this for all I’m worth. I’m kinda slow getting started but the blues gets me going so looking forward to sinking into it!!

Here's the review you asked for Tony. I have been playing for about 6 months with no previous background so daily practice was a challenge. Finding something that I could do and was engaging enough to keep me at it. So TAC is really great for that. Most of the exercises are still just a teeny bit out of my reach even at the slowest speed but there is a sense of achievement to get something working smoothly at any speed. I have had a couple of glitches with not being able to get on but the tech team responded quite fast. All in all it is doing me a lot of good.
