EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Old-fashioned Customer service in the best possible way. I drove in today while I was out on a bike ride to have my fairly tired mountain bike checked out. Rachel took her time in looking over my (old) bike and explaining what was good and mostly what needed some attention . Worked me up an extensive quote on bringing my old bike “up to speed”, carefully explaining the priorities and why. Showed me a couple of new bike options that I am deciding on. She did a great job of explaining advances in the mountain biking technology Also picked up a great deal on a new helmet which was way overdue!

I am absolutely over the moon with my experience at Trek Bicycle Shop in Chapel Hill! From start to finish, the team provided a masterclass in customer service.
Instead of just selling me a bike, they took the time to truly interview me, figuring out my exact needs and wants. I was able to test-ride multiple models, and we went over every single component in detail—discussing the pros and cons of different frames, drivetrains, and wheelsets. We essentially built my perfect bike from the ground up, part by part.
As the pieces arrived, their communication was flawless. The assembly was completed ahead of schedule and with incredible attention to detail. Once the bike was ready, the care didn't stop there—I spent a few hours with the team doing a precise fitting. We did multiple test rides, tweaked adjustments, and repeated the process until the fit was absolutely flawless.
Their customer service is genuinely second to none. The entire staff is incredibly pleasant, but a special shoutout goes to Dan, Rachel, Callie, Chris, and Henry for going above and beyond. I cannot recommend Trek Chapel Hill highly enough!

I initially visited the store to check out a Dual Sport 3 I had found online, but the size available didn’t fit me. Rachel was incredibly helpful, she took the time to look up inventory nationwide, found the right size for me, and arranged to have it shipped to the store with just a small deposit.
When the bike arrived, Dan assisted me during pickup. He asked me if I would like to test it, and while doing so, we noticed it had some wear and even a dent. He explained the situation honestly and offered multiple solutions, including a discount, ordering another one, or switching to a different model at a reduced price. I could tell he genuinely cared about making things right.
In the end, I chose the FX Sport 3, and while it wasn’t my original pick, I’m happy with the bike. More importantly, I felt well taken care of throughout the entire experience. Issues can happen, but what stands out is how your team handled them, with professionalism, honesty, and a real commitment to customer satisfaction.
I would definitely recommend the Trek Chapel Hill store to others. The staff is excellent!
