I can absolutely recommend this course. Zach is particularly good at passing on his knowledge of the various tools. I finished this course by the time I saw the picture. There is still the animation chapter, which I will have to postpone due to time and my lack of experience. I recommend anyone with little to no sculpting experience to do the Cute Creature course first. In my opinion, it's even a little bit better. My progress in the course: I started this course straight after the Cute Creature course. The modeling and sculpting went without any problems and was done quickly. The Cute Creature course really helped a lot. This time I decided not to model the same creature as Zach and therefore looked for my own reference. I was able to apply the principles and methods that Zach used to my creature. I managed to get the texturing right as far as possible. But this is more down to my skills. Zach also provides a clearly comprehensible workflow that you can f

Another amazing course from CGBoost! It teaches you everything you need to know: from sculpting to texturing, rigging, and animation to make a cool animated creature. It was a bit intimidating at first, but Zach breaks down each step, explaining the hows and whys so you can apply it not only to the course project but to your own projects too! I definitely feel ready to tackle some personal projects now. You can tell there's a lot of work behind the scenes to make the teaching of this course top-notch. Oh, and a shout-out to the community managers too! For being always ready to help, answer questions, and being cool and supportive people.

TRANSLATION: I took this course on and off in my spare time over the course of two months, and Zach was great, with a friendly voice that walked me through the process from start to finish in great detail. For a beginner like me, it was very beneficial to understand the workflow required to create a project of this size (although English is difficult for me). The most attractive point of CG Boost's course to me is that it breaks down what seems to be very difficult for me into small, simple steps, which is suitable for people who have little patience or have fragmented learning time, and completing these small stages can greatly improve my confidence and achievement. And completing these small stages greatly boosted my confidence and sense of accomplishment, and it was unbelievable that I had completed them all without even realizing it. It's like playing a game to get through the levels. Thank you, Zach, and good luck with CG Boost. Translated with DeepL.com (free version).

The time I spent dealing with re-topology and UV was a little boring and hard, but I learned why the process was necessary to produce 3D characters, and thanks to Zach, I was able to learn from start to finish making 3D characters. All CG Boost lectures I've taken so far have been great, I think it would be really exciting to have a course related to shader or geometry node.

The Creature Forge course is fantastic! It provides a great opportunity to learn various techniques for modeling, texturing, rigging, and lighting, among others. It's definitely worth the investment. I would love to see a continuation of the course that delves into preparing models for games, maybe even creating a game itself! Keep up the great work!

The epic creature takes everything you’ve learned from Master 3D Sculpting in Blender course and pushes your skills further. You learn more advanced tools to get better/faster results (looking at you epic creature jaw, bsurface retopology, and UDIMs!) as well as dare I say a more industry standard way of rigging. I love Zach’s teaching method as he takes the time to show and explain to you what he’s doing real time rather than with a sped up time-lapse. If you’ve finished the cute creature from the Master 3D Sculpting in Blender course, you owe it to yourself to start this course!
