The first version of the Essentials course was already great, the updated version is fantastic! David is a fenomenal teacher. Every lesson is a gift, so much fun to follow this course, very much worth the money. The concept is very practical and easy to follow at your own pace. I was halfway the first version and started all-over again with this new version. I discover new things every time I rewatch a lesson. Thank you David!

I totally recommend this course as I just started the full course after I did the free version to be sure it was something I would be able to understand since I can be slow at learning certain things. It’s very easy to understand, super easy to follow along with him and what he is doing. David goes at a slow pace and shows all the notes on screen, he has great energy and he makes it fun not boring. I am so grateful I found his courses through a friend.

Its amazing to follow such a well structured course by a teacher who is so eager to transmit his passion for this magical instrument. The course has just been completely refurbished which makes it even more enjoyable to follow. Great job and thanks a lot for giving us this nice toolbox for own future compositions 🛸✨

David is such a sweet soul. You can tell from his demeanour that he loves to teach handpans and he's very good at it. His methods are easy to understand, simple to recreate and affordable. I would recommend him wholeheartedly to anyone who wants to learn how to play this beautiful instrument.

I'm joining David's handpan community since a couple of weeks and it's just amazing. I'm also part of David's "Master the Handpan - Family" group which connects me with other people from all over the world. It's great fun to learn from each other. It was actually my biggest concern to get a handpan and then being alone without knowing what to do with it. That's why I signed up for the beginner course. I totally recommend this course. What I appreciate very much in David, he is a person down to earth, not pushy, not arrogant and his french accent makes him a unique teacher. It's so much fun. And hey, if you send them an email with questions they answer very quick and very personalized. Keep going, I will never regret being part of this community.

It is really amazing to do the courses. I'm with the Go further and the Sam Maher course at the moment, but havent finished it yet. I împroved in a short time a lot, Im very thankful for this video lessons, great work and great teacher. I did a lot of courses and tutorials before and with master the handpan you wont miss the details for fast progress in independence in your learning process. Very congruent with the warm up section, the grooves, rhythmic alphabet (Sam Maher course), famous rhytms, I simply love it, because you can in the same time enjoy the beautiful arrangements. In this courses you get encouraged to explore your handpan yourself and you do it. Simply said, wonderful course. Thank you! :-) Best wishes Frank

Everyday, I learn something new and aquire more knowledge of my HandPan. This program helps me developping my style and I'm super happy to realise how fast I evolve. Those are great teachers, they know a lot and really make us feel the love they share for their (now our) passion ! I would clearly recommand, of course ! Thibaut~

Wow! What a fantastic course. I signed up for the Essentials Master the Handpan one week ago, and already I feel like I have come so far. David has beautiful designed the program, breaking it down into achievable parts, making it so easy to follow. Once I have finished this program I have no doubt that I will be doing another one of his classes. Thanks David. You have done a fantastic job with developing this program!

I am at groove 3, but I have learned sooo much already!! It’s so much fun- this is my 4th handpan course, and I think the best one. I love Kabecao’s personality....when he says: look, or oops 😊- the instructions are clear, not too fast, just fantastic- I am so grateful for this super course 👍- Sabine

This course is awesome for anyone who is learning to play a handpan or similar style hand drum. David breaks down the training systematically & in bite sized chunks which are easy to manage. My skills have improved dramatically from starting this course. Even if you don't yet have a handpan, grab your wok & turn it upside down! Highly recommended! Thank you David!

It’s been a week, that I bought my Hand pan, to be honest I don’t know anything about music, and the system of David it’s so easy for someone that for the first time is going to play this kind of instrument. His symbols is the best, and the videos are so easy to understand. Genuinely I think I am in front of a genius, I can’t even imagine the hard work he put into this and make it so easy for everyone. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

David's course is perfect for me. The tutorials are logical, interesting, challenging but not frustrating and give useful personal observations on how to best progress. I find that I like to do "warm up" exercises both at the beginning, but also at the end of my sessions, just to see how I've progressed during the session and toI push the basic movements further. David's on-screen manner is warm, charming, humble, enthusiastic and inspiring. I recently started the intermediate course and am loving it. I can feel the progress and I'm excited to see where I can take this. A big thank you to David for his creative efforts and best wishes to the Masterthehandpan community.

I love the course! I have always felt I have no musical talent but suddenly I have rhythm, a light touch, and I'm making music! I definitely recommend this course.

would I ever have imagined, that the first thing I'd do in the morning (after letting the dog out to pee and making a good cup of coffee) would be: sitting in front of my PC to get the first news............not the political ones.........but the musical ones from MastertheHandpan-Family??? It has been a little over half a year now, that I started playing handpan...and to find guidance as a beginner, I booked all MTH-courses that were offered. So I'm slowly working myself through the essential-level. But what made me stick to it and even get more and more engaged in playing is not the online-lessons alone. The Family-page is a bubbling pool of inspiration for me. Seeing and hearing what others play, having exchange about problems.....or getting all kinds of information about the handpan-world keeps me busy and interested. The vibes are so welcoming and friendly! I am fortunate to have the chance to take part in all Learn-from-the-Best Tutorials and have seen all of them so far. I love them all. Of course I havent't worked through all of them, but I will....one by one....if my lifespan will allow me. Every one of the fabulous teachers has something precious to share. I would advise everyone not to miss any of them. David Charrier, I love your little challenges! Even if I make a fool of myself posting the results of my attempts.(life is too crazy to be serious) This is what keeps the community alive and connected. I hope I wil be able to follow this for a long time to go.

This course is great even if you are much more experienced because there is a lot of rythm based stuff in there that encourages you to mix it up a bit and change probably from your normal playing patterns - which can only be useful.
  • Adri Duarte
It is so easy to learn like this! I´ve searched youtube for teaching classes but got nothing, it is too advanced there, and here you learn from the basics. Love it!

Watched YouTubes and picked up a few things but This Course is Awesome! Well organized and effective. Follow David’s lead!

David has devised a method of reading handpan music which is easy to learn. You can go at your own speed and only move on to the next lesson when you feel able. David has given me lots of advice on which handpan to buy and places to purchase. This was even before I became one of his students. He is also available to answer any questions if you have difficulties. Thank you for being David.
