I just got started and am really happy with both my handpan and this course already. The course is very easy to follow. All it takes is a bit of attention and, well, ... a lot of practice. Lol :-).

I have been playing the handpan for about 2 years and I have always felt like I was missing a big piece because I didn't have familiarity or significant knowledge of music theory. I have just begun the Master the Handpan's course in music theory and I am impressed with how thorough and understandable it is. I think I have found the missing piece for me. What a fun, clear and no-nonsense approach to learning Handpan Specific music theory! Nice and structured video’s, recap exercises below many of them to see if you actually “got it” and a convenient summary in the e-book! This music theory business has long seemed like unintelligible jibber jabber… But that was before this course. Laurent and David are able to transform the jibber jabber into something I can grasp and understand, step by step, bit by bit. Absolutely recommended for those that want to take the mystery out of music theory, understand their instrument on a deeper level and finally get a grasp on what all those other instrumentalists are talking about!

I’ve just started David and Laurent’s music theory course and for the first time in my life, music theory is starting to make sense! This course is so far giving me patterns to play with that i would not come up with on my own. I am a brand new player and I feel this will advance my skills much faster then if I was doing it without. It sets me up for practice, routine and creativity.

I have only just started the Beginners MTH course but so far I can say I am delited and very exited. I love the way its set up and the teaching technique, the videos and everything. It really is perfect for me and what I was looking for as a total beginer with no music background at all. This was my Christmas present to myself and I am so happy with it. Just amazing! I started the "Essentials" course as an absolute beginner and I am so excited to see how fast I can get results with this method. The lessons are so clear and dynamic and fun they just became part of my routine. David is a great teacher and the lessons cover all that you need to learn to get started. You can feel David's passion for this instrument in each lesson and he's always encouraging you to explore you own instrument and improve creativity. I'm so glad I found these on line lessons!

My newest obsession! The handpan is a beautiful instrument that I fell in love with a couple of years ago. This site has lots of great handpan tutorials and beautiful music. It is super easy to navigate, and a foolproof way to learn the handpan, no matter what level player you are. David has a gift for breaking down complex ideas in melody and rhythm and maki g them accessible for all players while also honoring integrity and nuance of great musicianship. If you are looking for great handpan instruction, THIS IS IT!

As an absolute beginner I started the Master the Handpan "Essentials” course and I am very happy to have learned so much in a really short time by doing the inspiring exercises carefully and with lots of joy and fun. The lessons and tutorials are simply great. The practice of rhythm and coordination, the discovery of the scales, melodies, intervals and chords now allow me to improvise more freely and to compose my first little songs. David Charrier as a fantastic teacher and coach knows how to motivate us with encouraging comments and productive criticism, advices and ideas. I am very grateful that I have found this training and am looking forward to starting the “Go further” course soon!

I have been working with this course for just under a year and I can clearly see an improvement in many areas of my playing, having started as a total beginner with no (zero) rhythm/percussion background. I find David's lessons easy to understand and to follow. I love that I can practice at my own pace. One of the reasons I think it's an Excellent course is that if I have a question about a lesson or area where I'm stuck in my practice, I can get feedback from both David and also from fellow students. It's a friendly and supportive community. Best of all, David keeps this course fresh and alive, offering us new lessons and new challenges to take up and work on. Superb!!!

I haven't been through it yet, nor do I have a handpan yet, but with some few exchange of emails with David and seeing some of the videos, I'm sure this is a great choice to have applied to the beginner course. The video based course is a great start for beginners and more who want to learn how to "Master the Handpan" The course is well structured and will teach you how to develop your skills. Learn how to play the instrument, rhythms, melodies, patterns and more. For me, this course is a start to know the instrument and the possibilities. During the course I made a very fast progression in my play and how to approach the instrument. I for sure recommend this course to anyone who would like to manage this wonderful instrument!
