I always felt safe and comfortable. The drivers of vans, planes, boat, and helicopters were all excellent. Denali Backcountry Lodge, Wonder Lake and Brooks Falls with the bears were unforgettable highlights.

We had an incredible Expedition Leader. His knowledge of Alaska and the animals we saw was so impressive, and he was patient with all our photography and equipment questions. We got to see so much, and I loved every minute. I enjoyed each place we stayed, and, as always, I appreciate Nat Hab putting us where the action is! This was quite a complex trip in terms of getting from place to place, but the execution was flawless. It was fun traveling in all the various ways too. My favorite part was probably Brooks Falls, but the orcas were right up there too.

I can't choose what I loved most! Watching the bears, flying in helicopters, seeing Denali on a clear day, following an orca pod--I could go on.

Each day offered a new experience, culminating in Brooks Falls. All accommodations were wonderful in beautiful locations. We’re grateful to our guide, who was truly a gem.

The highlight for me was seeing the bears, and I loved kayaking, the float planes, rafting and wildlife watching. The dog sled experience was fun, and I'm grateful for all the wildlife I got to see. I always felt safe.

Witnessing a whale surface near your kayak, being pulled by a dog sled team or approaching a calving glacier is breathtaking. The contrast between our intimate experiences and those of a distant cruise ship was stark. Every aspect of our trip, from planes to accommodations, was first class. Calling this the Ultimate Alaska experience is accurate. Our friends, many of whom have visited Alaska, are invariably impressed by our tales. We can't praise this trip enough.

We had extraordinary luck with bear, moose and caribou sightings. The boat excursion from Fox Island was non-stop wildlife viewing, and the bears at Brooks Falls were amazing. There were lots of wildlife opportunities and we got great photography advice from our guide.

I am very impressed with how many activities we packed into two weeks: hiking, kayaking, and wildlife tours at every turn. Not to mention the numerous opportunities for photos! The train ride was also a real treat.

We have gained a new appreciation for the wildlife of Alaska and the concerted effort to conserve the resources of that state.

Our stays in Denali, Fox Island and Brooks Falls were so unique and wonderful. The lodges were cozy, in ideal locations and had delicious meals. The small group size was a big plus too!

My wife and I have been on about 25 tours with various travel companies, but we have never, ever had a guide as superb and competent as our expedition leader on this trip! She was delightful with a can-do attitude and a pioneering spirit appropriate to Alaska. She also knows just about everything about photography and did a great job giving us tips on our cameras and composition. I can't thank her enough!

Our guide's expertise on all things Alaskan was amazing—flora, fauna, history, people, etc. She was also incredibly helpful with photos tips—for the expert photographers as well as those of us who primarily use iPhones. She was considerate of all travelers, told great stories and made us all feel like family. I'd love to travel with her again!

Our guide put in enormous efforts to ensure that she enhanced everyone's photographic skills despite the group being individually at very different levels. She provided support, workshops and photographic activities throughout the trip, and in two weeks has developed my photography beyond my wildest dreams.

Our expedition leader was very attentive about addressing the needs of everyone on the trip, and did an excellent job of including each person. He was fantastic in assisting each person with their photography needs, and is a very talented photographer himself. He is also probably one of the foremost experts in bear behavior and did a fantastic job sharing his knowledge with those on our trip.

I have been on many 'expeditions' of this type and can say that our guides were just about the best leaders I have traveled with. Our first guide, we joked, was the 'Wikipedia' of Alaska! Her joyful and enthusiastic attitude was infectious to all! Our second leader was amazing in his knowledge of cameras and all to do with photography. He took special time out of the day to spend with each of the seven participants no matter their skill level.

Our guide Justin was excellent in every regard. His thoughtfulness, conduct, communication ability and subject knowledge were remarkable. It's not often we cross the path of someone like that!

Seeing the bears during the river walk at Katmai was the best part of the whole experience!
