Tags are custom labels you attach to the posts you collect, so a feed of thousands of items becomes something you can search, filter, and moderate by campaign, product, sentiment, or any other grouping you invent.
Tags live on the 'Posts' page under 'Social listening' (the page header reads 'Monitor'). You can add them to one post at a time from the row or from the post itself, to a whole batch of posts at once, or let AI read each caption and generate them for you.
Before you start, connect at least one source, so there are posts to tag. See Connect your first source.
How to tag posts
Open the Posts page. Click 'Social listening' in the left menu, then 'Posts'.
Tag a single post. In the 'Tags' column, click '+ Add' on that post's row. Pick a tag from the list, or type a name in 'Search or create a tag' to make a new one.
Or select the posts you want to tag together. Tick the checkbox on every post you want, then open 'Bulk actions' above the table and click 'Tag posts'.
Choose a new or an existing tag. Select 'New tag' and type the name, or select 'Existing tag' and pick one or more tags from the dropdown, then click 'Tag posts'.
Or tag a post while you review it. Click a post to open 'Post details' and use 'Add' next to 'Tag', which is handy when you are deciding about one post at a time.
Existing tags are suggested as soon as you start typing. Pick the suggestion instead of typing a near-duplicate, so your filters keep matching everything you meant to group.
Tag posts with AI
Instead of typing the tags yourself, let the AI read the captions: tick the posts you want, open 'Bulk actions', and click 'Tag with AI'. The option stays inactive until at least one post is selected, and the number shown next to it is what the run costs, 1 AI credit per selected post.
The AI generates 1 to 5 descriptive tags per post from its caption, plus a category such as Complaint or Brand Praise. Tags can take a few minutes to appear. For the full list of categories and how the AI decides, see AI Post Enrichment.
Removing a tag
Select the posts that carry the tag, open 'Bulk actions', click 'Tag posts', pick the tag under 'Existing tag', then click 'Remove tag' instead of 'Tag posts'.
Where your tags are used
Tagging is only worth it because of what comes after it:
- Filtering your feed. Open the filter panel on the 'Posts' page and select a tag to show only the posts carrying it, which is the fastest way to review or moderate one campaign.
- Feeding widgets. A widget can be pointed at tagged content only, so a tag becomes the rule for what a website section displays. See Filters.
- Tagging without you. An Auto tagging automation applies the tags you choose to every new post from the sources you pick, on the Premium plan.
- Reviews. Reviews are tagged the same way from 'All Reviews', and a reviews widget can then show only the reviews carrying a tag with 'Filter by Tags'.

FAQ
Can a post have more than one tag?
Yes. Add as many tags as you need to the same post, and the 'Existing tag' dropdown lets you apply several tags to a selection in one action.
Does tagging use AI credits?
Only 'Tag with AI' does, at 1 AI credit per selected post. Tags you add yourself, from the row, from 'Post details', or in bulk, do not use credits.
How do I remove a tag from posts?
Select the posts, open 'Bulk actions', click 'Tag posts', pick the tag, then click 'Remove tag'.
Can new posts be tagged automatically?
Yes. Create an Auto tagging automation, which stamps your chosen tags on every new post from the sources you selected. It is available on the Premium plan.
Can I see only the posts with a certain tag?
Yes. Open the filter panel on the 'Posts' page and select the tag. Tags used to work as a filter only inside widgets, so this is the place to review tagged content in the admin.
