title: "Feeds"
description: "What a feed is in EmbedSocial, how it relates to a source, and how many you can create."
---

A **feed** is the content you build from your connected sources. A source brings content into EmbedSocial. A feed is what you shape from it and put on your website, which is why the app calls it a widget.

Every feed you create generates its own embed code. Paste that code into any website, and the feed renders there and keeps updating on its own.

## Sources and feeds are separate limits

Your plan limits how many **sources** you connect. It does not limit how many **feeds** you build from them. Feeds are unlimited on every plan, including Free.

That means one connected Instagram account can power a homepage gallery, a product-page slider, and a footer wall, all as separate feeds with separate designs and separate embed codes. It still counts as one source.

A single feed can also pull from more than one source at once. See [Combo widgets](/docs/widgets/combo-widgets/) for how to combine them.

## FAQ

**Q: How many feeds can I create?**

There is no limit. Feeds are unlimited on every plan, so only your source count is capped.

**Q: Does each feed need its own embed code?**

Yes. Every feed generates a unique code, which is what lets you place different feeds on different pages.

**Q: Do I have to re-embed after I change a feed?**

No. The embed code stays the same, and your design changes appear on the live site.

**Q: Can one feed show content from two platforms?**

Yes. Open the feed's '**Sources**' tab and select every source you want in it. See [Combo widgets](/docs/widgets/combo-widgets/).
