Our only complaint about this place was that we only had one night there, and we would have liked to stay longer! (Booked as part of the Awesome Pass, so we didn't have full control over our itinerary). Beautiful beach, some of the best food we had in the Yasawa Islands, and the only place we found among the 8 different places we stayed in Fiji that had a decent local craft beer (Reef: the pale ale was excellent). We didn't have time to do any of the activities, but there looked to be good snorkelling, although the coral is so close into the beach that it's not great for just swimming, especially at low tide. Unlike many other resorts there's a separate bar area that's not part of the restaurant, which seemed to create a more social vibe, especially in the evenings. We didn't have enough time to really get to know the staff, but they were all lovely. Bonus for cat lovers: there are lots of cats hanging around, and some of them visited our garden bure porch for some pets!

We stayed at Octopus Resort in April 2025 for two nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff are amazing and the food was an amazing surprise. We were expecting basic island fare, but what came out at each meal was 5 star! We stayed in a basic but very well presented Garden Bure. It was all very clean and well maintained. The staff were very attentive and always on hand to have a chat or help out with everything. The only complaint - a bloody cyclone forming off the coast of Vanuatu meant a bit of rough weather! :-) Ah well, more time doing nothing but relaxing on the beach. We went with our sone (13 years old) and two parents in their 60's. Everyone had a great time and was well catered for.
