I want to express a special gratitude for Jovi, a staff member who also works as the scuba instructor. I tried the discover scuba activity (as my first time doing scuba) and I was struggling a lot at first. However, Jovi was a very patient instructor, which made me feel safe through his continues support. I can recommend him for for anyone else who would love to try scuba but is too afraid to. He deserves some recognition!

We stayed a week at rhe glorious Octopus Island. They transferred us seemlessly from Yatule resort to the Island. Beautiful staff are so helpful, friendly and joke around with each other - so nice to see. They also sang at various occasions which was beautiful and very moving - the harmonies were sublime. Cabins have wonderful balconies to sit on and a personal hammock perfect for lazy afternoon reading. The menu changes every 2 days, the food varied and was delicious (with a few misses). Lots of fish dishes. The snorkelling off the beach is amazing - so many fish from anenome fish to wrasse and big snappers and gropers. My 80yr old mum loved it! We snorkelled twice a day most days or went out on the boat. Highly recomend the dive shop activities (extra charge). Shark point was a highlight (havent swum with sharks before and was fabulous), as was the night snorkel. Water was always crystal clear and visability amazing. We were so well looked after and would love to come back again as soon as we can. Thank you Octopus Island for everyrhing.
