On May 11th, we had the pleasure of hosting a creative workshop focused on small repairs for knitwear. 🧶💫 It was wonderful to learn tips and tricks together to mend and repair our clothes, challenging the throwaway culture and fast fashion. Embracing sustainable fashion is more important than ever. Repairing our clothes not only helps us keep them longer but also reduces our environmental impact. According to research from Nottingham Trent University, extending the average life of clothing by a third reduce the need for new clothes, cutting the carbon footprint, waste, and water consumption in the production phase by over 20%. Repairing our clothes is not just a gesture of love for our wardrobe, but also for the planet. We will increasingly commit to supporting these projects, promoting sustainable fashion, and encouraging responsible consumption practices.
