What will you carry, and where will you go?
This pouch is made from deer leather, sourced from a deer processed in Obihiro, Hokkaido.
Tanned slowly using tannin extracted from mimosa bark, dyed with pigment,
and finished with a gentle iron-waxed sheen.
The leather feels moist to the touch—
a soft black with a quiet, paper-like glow.
We aimed to retain the wildness of the material,
yet shape it into something that fits comfortably into daily life.
That balance was what we pursued to the very end.
The frame is made of raw brass,
with a press-style clasp that opens easily with one hand.
The metal loops are intentionally placed asymmetrically—
a small trick I devised after nearly being pickpocketed while traveling.
It helps the pouch avoid opening too wide.
It fits an iPhone Pro, our L-zip mini wallet, keys, and a lip balm—
just the essentials.
The pouch is unlined.
The leather’s underside is treated to suppress fuzz,
allowing you to feel the material directly, without discomfort.
The slim shoulder strap, in black, is understated but dependable.
It can be worn crossbody or handheld.
Available in S and L lengths.
The brass hardware will deepen in tone with time,
revealing a quiet luster—
aging gracefully alongside the leather itself.
Equally suited for formal occasions and casual strolls,
this pouch chooses no destination.
It’s meant to travel with you.
What memories will this leather carry?
I hope this small vessel will walk beside you,
gathering your days quietly,
one by one.
