The Lab E20 is where the voices of fashion and architecture collide. Blended at the intersection of materiality, our cultural programme Regenerative by Design, showcases and exhibits the material innovations emerging across the built environment through material and cultural innovation. On the evening of Tuesday 17th June, The Lab E20 hosts a free evening event and programme for London Festival of Architecture. Curated and styled as “The Deconstructed Dinner Party”, a format developed by yasminrjh in partnership with The Lab E20’s artists in residence where the relationships between food, materials, community and place are tackled through immersive experiences. The “first course” will consist of a live textiles dye workshop using food-waste with Bella Gonshorovitz, author of Grow, Cook, Wear, Dye. Followed by servings of dishes cooked from Bella’s Grow, Cook, Wear, Dye recipe book. The “second course” will be a workshop with regenerative material designer Cassie Quinn, where guests will experiment and explore how to make their own biomaterials and bioplastics from food waste. The third and final course will consist of a Q&A hosted by Yasmin Jones-Henry, co-founder of The Lab E20 and Financial Times writer, where our guests will be able to learn more about both artists’ work and journey into the built environment. To book your tickets, please sign up for free at RÆBURN Eventbrite. The Lab E20, designed by christopher.raeburn, Supported by Get Living londonfestivalofarchitecture wearegetliving, eastvillageldn, bellagonshorovitz, c.q.studio,

Earth Day 2025 “Last week, I had the honour of speaking at apple Covent Garden alongside patrick__mcdowell, hardeep.earth, and yasminrjh on a powerful panel exploring the future of sustainable fashion. It was incredible to see so many people turn out. Hearing from Patrick, Hardeep, and Yasmin—each with such distinct, passionate journeys into design, culture, and responsible business—was truly inspiring. I often joke that I feel like a bit of a dinosaur in the sustainability conversation (or Responsible Design, as I prefer to call it), but opportunities like this remind me how much there is still to share—and learn. I spoke about my path from art college to founding RÆBURN—what began as a desire to make well-crafted pieces, rooted in history, evolved into a purpose-driven business. For me, this has never been about reinventing the wheel—repairing, recycling, remaking… these are age-old practices grounded in common sense and care. There’s no silver bullet to fix the fashion system. It’s going to take countless micro (and mega) initiatives working in tandem. The key in my opinion? Start small, experiment, and—as NASA wisely puts it—fail fast. That’s how progress happens. That’s also why events like this matter so much. They create space for dialogue, connection, and momentum. And most importantly, they help spotlight the next generation of thinkers, doers, and makers—no matter their background. To those out there dreaming up new ways to design responsibly: keep going. Test your ideas. Share your stories. We need you. Huge thanks to tiffdarket for expertly guiding our conversation, and to jadecoles_ and the incredible team at Apple for making it all happen. 🌍 Happy Earth Day—and let’s keep moving forward”. Christopher Raeburn Founder & Creative Director RÆBURN

RÆBURN Recommends: Eight Decades of designcouncil British Design 1944 to today. All at RÆBURN are proud to be part of the Design Council’s wonderful new book on all things British Design and particularly to have our SS20 New Horizons collection to be highlighted amongst such esteemed company. Christopher was in attendance at a superb launch event pentagdesign on Thursday night and very much enjoyed varied speeches including officialheatherickstudio and Sir John Sorrell CBE. Slide through to see our contribution and please see below for the official overview on the book (now available online at The Design Council’s website): For the past eight decades, British design has shaped how we live, work, and express ourselves. From Margaret Calvert and Jock Kinneir’s iconic road signs to Vivienne Westwood’s punk revolution, James Dyson’s radical reinventions, and Zaha Hadid’s bold architecture, British design has continuously pushed boundaries. At the heart stands the Design Council, the UK’s champion for design, shaping policy, driving innovation, and highlighting design’s role in public life. Eight Decades of British Design presents a richly layered portrait of an industry in perpetual evolution with insights from leading voices, including Deyan Sudjic, Penny Sparke, Max Fraser, and Priya Khanchandani. In the creation of the book, we set ourselves the challenge to produce the book in the ethos of our Design for Planet mission. The book has been printed in the UK using high-quality sustainable paper and foil stamping, a process that produces no emissions and is fully recyclable, compostable, and biodegradable. Reflect on design’s enduring power to shape Britain’s future, and its influence on the world beyond.
