It was an honour to host at our event orsoladecastro , an international visionary on sustainable fashion. Her ‘From Somewhere’ (1997-2014) brand pioneered the field of upcycling and has been sold in some of the world’s top boutiques. On Saturday 14th December, at 6.30 p.m., we will open the doors of our archive where we store woollen fabrics, scarves and accessories, produced over the years by the companies in our Group and in particular by manifattura_big. The event will explore the history of fashion over the decades and enable participants to see our company in a different way. When we introduce ourselves, we delight in saying that our name comes from ‘Bisenzio’, the river that flows through the city of Prato and that has enabled the development of the district's textile manufacturing. But there is more to it. Bisenzio [from the Latin Bis Entius] means "Waters that flow together’" and this concept also describes our production model, because every Lanificio Bisentino product results from activities and processes carried out ‘together’ with our suppliers.
