The afternoon was dedicated to our beloved black bees, which hold a special place at Trudon and in the history of our Maison. Once the source of our iconic candles during the reign of Louis XIV, they are now a protected species.
Acting as a key player within the regional nature park, the Conservatoire de l’Abeille Noire de l’Orne plays a vital role in preserving the genetic diversity of these endemic bees, ensuring they continue to thrive in conditions as close as possible to their original natural environment.
Today, we proudly share our commitment to their preservation and offer a glimpse into the care they require.
