Faux, Real ? Get Real ! Rihanna's last appearance on the red carpet was a curious personification of where we are today with fur. While the XL hat was clearly faux, the coat was a vintage creation from Lacroix's F-W 2002 fashion show. Probably fox fur heavily dyed with chemicals giving it a very...synthetic aspect. Not biodegradable for sure. But it's vintage. At Ecopel, more than ever we believe imitation is conservation and faux fur will always be the compassionate choice. But today, imitation also means innovation with new options gaining traction including 100% biobased, faux dyed without water and even keratin or vegetal furs in the pipe line. What are your thoughts ?

A conscious friday ? Today let's share an easy routine that can revive a faux fur. It's simple. After carefully hand washing the fur at lukewarm temperature, simply use a soft bruch and a hair dryer (cold mode) as shown in the video. That way your fur will enjoy a second youth. And don't forget. When summer time will be back, your faux fur coat simply hangs well in your dressing room, protected in a garment bag.
