A signature Inis Meáin piece, for the Cashmere Raftery Coat, we were inspired by the famed 19th century nomadic poet Raftery and his epic poem Seanchas na Sceiche in which he berates a bush for failing him in his search for shelter. His clothes were often remarked upon, particularly Cóta Raiftearaí, so in tribute, we designed a beautiful soft Donegal cashmere and merino full length coat. Finished with a row of smooth Buffalo horn buttons and a very subtle signature Aran motif on the back neck.
Available in a new season colour – Brown Fleck, a rich dark chocolate shade punctuated by bright flecks of red, cream and rust, and Charcoal Fleck, a versatile dark grey elevated with warm orange and snowy white highlights. Designed, made and hand-finished in our Aran Islands workshop.
