It is their planet too. Overfishing, plastic pollution, and climate change are pushing many marine species to the edge of extinction. If we don’t change course, we risk losing entire ecosystems. Take action.

Get to know Elena Dominick – passionate windsurfer and always up for a challenge. Unlike regular surfing, where you mainly follow the waves, windsurfing adds an extra layer: the wind becomes your engine. It’s all about controlling both the board and the sail at the same time, requiring strength, coordination, and quick reactions. Mastering windsurfing means constantly adjusting to changing conditions – it’s dynamic, technical, and physically demanding. 📸 felixshlk

SOLD OUT – but not for you.
Our MOON BAG RUFFLE in hot coral flew off the shelves in just a few days. But we kept two aside – for you. Want to win it?
Here’s how: 1. Follow us 2. Like this post 3. Tag someone who would love this color just as much as you Why we made this:
Each GOT BAG supports our partner NGO, GOT BAG Indonesia, which works with coastal communities on Java to reduce and prevent plastic pollution. In areas lacking proper waste disposal, they establish waste management systems and collect additional plastic from the environment. The MOON BAG RUFFLE is made with RE:NYNET® – a soft, lightweight recycled nylon fabric sourced from discarded fishing nets. These nets are often abandoned at sea, where they become ghost nets, silently threatening marine life. By repurposing them, we give this harmful waste a new life – as something worth carrying. Giveaway ends on April 30th, End of Day.
Good luck – and thank you for being part of the change.

Our partner NGO, GOT BAG Indonesia, operates a clean-up program to collect and process Ocean Impact Plastic. This community-driven and regional focus ensures the program addresses plastic pollution in areas most affected, such as coastal regions without waste management systems, creating change for local communities and ecosystems. The Yayasan GOT BAG Indonesia Foundation was established in September 2022, headquartered in Yogyakarta. Before, between 2019 and 2022, the clean-up program was coordinated by a local foundation with the same employees. Our collaboration with the GOT BAG Indonesia Foundation is rooted in a firm belief: lasting change happens when local communities lead the way. That’s why the foundation is entirely managed by a team of local professionals, whose deep connection to their communities and the ocean allows them to develop targeted solutions for the plastic crisis. GOT BAG GmbH provides funding for the foundation’s initiatives and collaborates closely to set strategic goals. Through continuous exchange and capacity-building initiatives, we have further strengthened the foundation’s work.

Since we started manufacturing backpacks in 2018, we’ve continually expanded our product range and the materials we use. RE:NYNET® is a recycled nylon fabric made of discarded fishing nets. This material is sourced not from GOT BAG Indonesia’s clean-up program, but from a recycling partner. Disposing of old fishing nets is expensive. In the age of large-scale industrial fishing, these nets are often abandoned in the open sea, where they continue to trap marine life indefinitely, becoming what are known as ghost nets. Our recycling partner in Taiwan provides fishermen with a free disposal option for their old nets, potentially helping to prevent environmental pollution. We use RE:NYNET® for products that benefit from its soft and lightweight properties. Learn more about our materials on our website.
