🎉 WE MADE IT! Musthad has been selected by our peers as the most investment-ready startup in the Sustainability Subscribed Europe 2025 program — and awarded a non-dilutive grant of $20,000 to further scale our impact and accelerate innovation in climate and sustainability 🌱🚀 But first, let’s rewind. ✨ Over the past few months, our co-founders matteoaghemo and calisituation joined this amazing acceleration program for early-stage startups, powered by Village Capital in partnership with Zuora. It’s been an intense and rewarding ride, offering tailored mentorship and strategic feedback from experts, investors and the 9 other brilliant startups participating to the program. 💡The journey culminated in an in-person summit in London on April 17, where Musthad was voted most investment-ready. We couldn’t be prouder! 🎯. Thanks to everybody who made this possible! 🌍 Europe needs circular and scalable models to face the climate crisis — and we’re proud to be part of the movement. This recognition gives us even more energy to push forward. 💪♻️ #sustainability #climateinnovation #circulareconomy♻️ #fashiontech #startupimpact #Musthad #VillageCapital #Zuora #sustainabilitysubscription

🌟 Celebrating Upcycling Day with Musthad! 🌟 At Musthad, we believe that everything deserves a second chance.

This Upcycling Day, we are thrilled to share an exciting project we completed in collaboration with the Design Course at Politecnico di Milano. For one month, talented students developed innovative upcycling concepts using various waste materials. The project culminated in a live event where the students presented their prototypes and shared their brilliant ideas with us. We were incredibly impressed by their enthusiasm and creativity! We are proud to see how the new generations are capable of designing with a sustainable vision. This fills us with hope for an increasingly circular future. Join us and discover circular solutions to give new life to your excess materials! 🌱🌱 #sustainability #circularity #design #ecodesign #upcycling #upcyclingday #musthad

🛍 Imagine if we could know the ingredients of the #clothes we buy? 👔 A British industrial designer named Peter Gorse has developed a ‘garment facts’ #label. Inspired by the familiar nutritional labels ubiquitous in the food industry, Gorse curated data on key parameters and designed an easily accessible format. Consumers are already familiar with this type of label and can easily grasp the information it provides. In Gorse’s example, the #garment described contains 45 grams of chemicals per 100 grams of fabric, 112 synthetic chemicals; it traveled 25,432 miles through its supply chain and will shed 137,951 microfibers per wash; and its textile workers earned 45% of the local living wage. Transparent access to this kind of #data can influence consumer choices and production processes, much like the impact of nutritional labels introduced years ago on food products. Let’s see if the European Union will be inspired by Gorse’s project! #sustainabletextile #sustainability #circularity #label #green #fashion #circularfashion

🌍 World Environmental Day! 🌍 Today, June 5th, is World Environment Day. The increasing scarcity of natural resources is one of the major issues affecting our planet. The World Economic Forum ranks natural resource shortages as the fourth highest risk over the next decade. 🔥 👕 The textile sector worsens the situation. A 2020 report from the European Environmental Agency ranks the textile sector as: - the fifth most polluting industry for carbon emissions; - the fourth most impactful industry for natural resource and water consumption; - the second worst sector for land exploitation. The lack of available resources must be a wake-up call. We have only one planet, and to safeguard it, we need to change the status quo. The solution is to implement circular processes in production sectors, particularly in textiles. This is the challenge for Musthad, the goal we want to achieve. 🌟 Join us and make a difference! 🌟 #sustainability #circularity #textile #environmental #day #earth #fashion #naturalresources #musthad

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of being invited by bip.italy to participate in an insightful event focused on a critical issue in the fashion industry: #overproduction and #unsold inventory. We attended a highly relevant debate that offered valuable insights on how to tackle this challenge. The #roundtable featured industry experts who brought their expertise in #merchandising, #supplychain, #finance, and #sustainability. It has emerged that there is a need for greater awareness and better communication between the different departments of a brand in order to reduce unsold inventory, because in the end, each of them is partially responsible for it. Only in this way can the problem be reduced both in the preventive and corrective phases. matteoaghemo from Musthad presented our innovative solution, highlighting the importance of data digitization for gaining better control over unsold inventory, and take informed decisions. It was an exciting opportunity for discussion and the exchange of ideas! We sincerely thank Giovanni Cara, Francesca Pilla, Andrea Ciola, and Federica Garetto. 🙏🏻 #sustainability #circulareconomy #fashion #textilewaste #unsoldinventory #overproduction #solution #software #musthad

🇪🇺 In April, the European Parliament approved the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). 👕 Among the provisions of the ESPR, a notable aspect is the ban on the destruction of returns and unsold garments. The regulation directly addresses the issue of products at risk of ending up in landfills before ever being worn, significantly contributing to the fight against overproduction in the fashion industry. But what exactly constitutes destruction? Which products fall into the category of unsold garments? Discover in this post how the entry in force of the ESPR can change the status quo! #ESPR #guide #sustainability #circularity #Europe #regulations #textilewaste #fashionindustry #circularfashion #musthad #platform

Yesterday, May 19th, marked Italy’s Overshoot Day. This signifies that we have depleted all the ecological resources our country can regenerate for the year. For the rest of 2024, we are maintaining our ecological deficit by drawing down local resource stocks and accumulating carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. In essence, we are operating in overshoot. 💥 Reaching Overshoot Day just 140 days into the year underscores the urgency to change the status quo and embrace increasingly sustainable and circular practices. However, Italy is not alone in depleting available resources. Twenty other countries have already reached this negative milestone, including Qatar, Luxembourg, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States of America. If all countries followed suit, we would need about three planet Earths to sustain such consumption levels. But we only have one! By working together, we can push this date later in the year and strive for a future where we live within our planet’s means. 🌱 Let’s join forces and commit to making a difference! #overshootday #Italy #sustainability #circularity #fashionindustry #circularfashion #resources #earth #musthad #software
