Nolan’s 14 FKT - The Reclaim SOAR athlete dhedges_ had set the FKT on the epic ‘Nolan’s 14’ in Colorado back in 2023. Fourteen 14,000 ft peaks in Colorado’s Sawatch Range, 95 miles in distance across scree fields and unmarked trail, 44,000ft of altitude gain - almost all at over 10,000 ft. It is, unquestionably, an epic high mountain traverse. David’s record was however broken by ultra running household name François D’Haene in July of 2025. Carving over 3.5 hours off of David’s time, the UTMB winner set a sub-36 mark - 1 day, 11 hours, 33 minutes. On September 14th, at 6:30am at the Blanks Cabin trailhead, David set-off to reclaim it. Nolan’s 14 FKT - The Reclaim SOAR athlete David Hedges had set the FKT on the epic ‘Nolan’s 14’ in Colorado back in 2023. Behind him were 7 weeks of camping in the mountains, training mentally and physically, rehearsing lines, route scouting and recovering. David was dialled, but still uncertain. Ahead of him lay snow drifts, frozen tundra, the magnitude of an epic route and depths never before reached. This film tells David’s story. Primary footage: sean.haworth lukewebstr
