Before setting off on this expedition, we delved into the history of this land and the lives of two travellers: Marco Polo and Ibn Battuta, two intrepid explorers whose legacy still inspires today. Though their paths never crossed, both were captivated by the East, travelling the ancient Silk Road to the mystical lands of India, China, and Mongolia. By bringing back tales of cultures, traditions, and wonders in places unknown to the rest of the world, these pioneers sparked a passion for exploration that would endure for centuries.
