Glory Apparel is a proud partner of parsonstextilesmfa Atelier program and this past Fall’23 semester we had the pleasure of hosting Zhemiao (Cas) Kang, where she created a series of knitting panels using our knitting program and machines on site. Cas’ concept: “An intarsia technique is used to knit a window silhouette with a transparent background. This piece explores surrealism and the dream-like quality of liminal spaces and is paired with other mix-media pieces the student created for an art installation. The combination of transparent nylon yarn with the light blue wool gives a soft and dreamy look to the piece.“
