Have just had a blissful week staying at the Blue Lagoon Beach Resort in one of their brand new 2 bedroom family yurts. The yurts are all air conditioned, with outdoor bathrooms like most of the other accomodation here but their design make them feel incredibly roomy and we loved stargazing at night lying in the comfortable king size bed! We’ve had the beautifully landscaped pool area mostly to ourselves the whole week-being hidden at the rear of the resort, not many people know its there, it’s been so quiet and relaxing! The new bar is open by the pool every evening before dinner and they are currently finishing off the new tapas bar alongside which will be fantastic when completed. Best place for relaxing, snorkelling (soooo many fish and we saw a turtle!) diving and the food has been absolutely incredible-restaurant quality for the most part. But the thing that really makes this place special are the people. Staff are so warm and welcoming and knew us by name from day 1. If you are considering Blue Lagoon Beach Resort, just do it-you wont regret it.

Before heading to the Blue Lagoon I’d seen a lot of good reviews and have to say it lived up to the high expectations. Staff were incredibly friendly, location/beach were stunning and there were so many activities to keep you entertained. Boat ride out is 4 hours so if you have the time would recommend staying at some of the other islands on the way up to it. Worth the long journey either way!
