My wife and I recently concluded an exceptional eight-day stay at the Blue Lagoon Beach Resort in the Yasawas. This marked our inaugural visit to the Yasawa Islands, and we were immediately captivated by the breathtaking natural beauty and pristine white sandy beaches. Our journey from Port Denarau 0was largely smooth, with a brief period of choppier waters approximately 45 minutes to an hour from the Blue Lagoon. During our transit, we observed several other resorts within the Yasawas, including the Barefoot Kuata Resort, which serves as a prominent gateway to the region. Our beachfront villa provided a high level of comfort and offered a million-dollar panoramic view of the immaculate beach. The immediate vicinity of the resort boasts some of Fiji’s finest snorkeling opportunities, with a vibrant reef teeming with diverse marine life and exquisite corals. The island itself is enveloped by lush tropical vegetation and coconut palms. A well-maintained hiking trail leads to the summit of the mountain, providing expansive vistas of the surrounding Yasawa islands. The culinary offerings were outstanding, and the cocktails were superb. We extend our gratitude to Sulu for the delightful Toblerone, and to Rosa, Sai, and Esala for their expertly crafted cocktails. The restaurant staff significantly enhanced our dining experiences. Our sincere thanks go to Mel, Ili, Jerry, Aste, Ema, Tima, Berna, Nelson, Reni, Niana, Philip, Sia, Salab, Pena, Noke, and Esala for their exceptional service. We also had the pleasure of experiencing a degustation menu at the Donu Japanese restaurant, which proved to be a highly enjoyable culinary journey. We commend Chef Saki and his team, Joe, Sala, Nana, Maria, and Tony, for their excellent work. We are grateful to Luisa and Armale for their diligent daily maintenance of our villa. Our appreciation also extends to Jimmy for his efficient handling of our luggage. Furthermore, we thank Tibo, Tem, and Bibo for their meticulous organization of tours and activities, and Levi for maintaining the immaculate condition of the gardens. We would like to express our gratitude to Chris, the owner, for his personal introduction, and to Vika, the Assistant Manager, for her outstanding efforts in ensuring our stay was truly exceptional. In closing, we extend our profound thanks to everyone, including those we may have inadvertently omitted, for welcoming us into the Blue Lagoon Family and for making our stay an unforgettable experience. Vinaka, Lee and Lindsay
