Really Nice resort With great Staff. Best food we ate in our two week vacation in Fiji. It is however quite expensive and don’t expect much luxury in the room. 300 AUD per night (without compulsive meal plan) and you get a nice room without tv or air con. It was clean and bed was confortable. Loved the shower outside! But after you see a cockroach in the room you are more careful going out at night. The pool is great and nice happy hour from 4/5. Again a bit overpriced because you have to pay quite a bit for activities and drinks are more expensive than in the mainland. You pay that much because is an island and bringing everything in is not easy! Just don’t expect a luxurious room but a great room very Fiji style and great environment!

Our stay on Octopus Resort was incredible. We were there for 7 nights and stayed in the beachfront bure that was right on the waterfront. It was authentic, clean and spacious. We were able to snorkel right out the front of our bure and swim among the tropical fish and coral. 90% of local village work at the resort and speak great English and were absolutely wonderful with the children. Our 10-year-old son is a coeliac and the chefs ensured he was well catered for and didn’t miss out. The variety of food from the al a carte menu could not be faulted and the Fijian bbq night was delicious. The daily activities were great! Snorkeling with the Mantarays and over the colourful coral and the champagne tubing are not to be missed. (These activities are at an additional cost). Our transfer to and from the island (by the Octopus boat and bus) was very well organised. The manager Ella and her family went above and beyond to make our stay incredible and they and their incredible team deserve to be congratulated. Amazing resort! Highly recommended if you want to experience the real Fiji and not a touristy resort.
