    Well. The resort and staff is nice. And great service. But one person in our company was food poisoned in the japanese restaurant. Had to stay in bed 1.5 days and missed out on half of our visit. Management and staff were duly informed, but we did not even receive as much as an apology. Upon checking out, I had to go thru the bills three times to get rid of costly items we never bought or ordered. No appology for that either. My expectations of the place came very short indeed.

    I booked one of their villas for a few nights for my partner’s 40th birthday. It’s one of my favorite destinations and the people are so lovely. Unfortunately our flights were moved which resulted in us having to cancel the whole trip due to timings. I called and emailed multiple times to cancel within the 60-day cancellation period but was told the 10% deposit was not refundable 90 days prior to arrival. This point was not stipulated in writing on their website, in my email confirmation or over the phone. I would have booked elsewhere if I had known because flights tend to change last minute. I was basically told “it’s not our fault your flight changed”. So they have chosen to keep my $300 AUD deposit when we would have happily returned at another time and booked their $1,000 AUD per night villa plus drinks plus spa plus plus plus. This is not the way to do business when there are so many beautiful places to stay in Fiji. Very disappointed with how my experience turned out and I will be taking my money elsewhere when I come back to Fiji. I do not give bad reviews as I always address my concerns with the business directly. However, in this case the business hasn’t done anything to rectify the situation (despite me trying multiple times to explain the situation) so people need to know what they are in for.
