The island and views were spectacular. Check-in is at 2…. We were there much earlier. Totally expected to check in at 2…. However they took our bags and made it seem we would check in earlier. Wasn’t the case. Checkout is at 10 am and somehow we didn’t get our room till after 2 and was told it was due to a lightbulb not working….. a single lightbulb that wouldn’t have even been noticed. It wouldn’t have been so bad but they took out bags and we couldn’t even change to enjoy the pool or beach. We stayed in the private bungalows across the way. Rooms were nice….. but if you’re looking for a quiet place…. This is not the place. Even on the private island with the 4 separate bungalows. Out of 4…. Three had kids and they were loud the entire time. Food was good, but not much variety. We never did receive a room key after telling them several times. Also… when people are on vacation…. Staff should not be asking guests their political views and religion. I find that highly inappropriate. Most of us on vacation, want to get away from that.

If you’re looking for paradise on earth, this is it. The whole team go the extra mile to make the stay unforgettable. We enjoyed the food, the activities including kayaking, the beach and the pool. We were celebrating our honeymoon and everything was perfect. Make sure that you factor in the cost of transport to the island (Yasawa flyer) and the compulsory meal plan to know the total price. Some tips: Bring some drinks with you because the only drinks included are drip coffee and juice with breakfast. Drinks for the rest of the day (except water) are not included in the meal plan. Bring your own snorkel because although rental snorkels are available, some of the ones we were given were old and difficult to see through. We stayed for 3 nights and we felt that was enough to enjoy the hotel and the facilities, but we could have happily stayed for longer. Overall, even though it was a lot of money, we thought it was good value for the experience and would visit again. We have many amazing memories from our stay! EDIT: I was overcharged $291 USD and so far I have been trying to get a refund for 2 months. Despite many promises from the hotel I am yet to receive a refund, and they just advised me it will take “a few more months”. That’s absolutely ridiculous and I have adjusted my review accordingly.
