We stayed here (2 x Adults, 1 x child) for 6 nights over March/April and it was amazing. We have been to a number of the Fijian islands over the years (Tokoriki, Matamanoa and Denerau) and Paradise Cove Resort was exactly what we were hoping for/dreaming of. The people were amazing, the location stunning, the rooms perfect, food was the best we have had in Fiji, just the right amount of activities to ensure you could do something if you wanted (or not). Only points we found were not quite at the level we expected were: 1) When arriving via Helicopter it felt like we were arriving via the service entrance, so greeted with unkept and visually less stunning amenities. 2) The decking around the secondary pool area was well past needing repair/replacement with loose nails/boards. That said - they are things that can (hopefully already have been) rectified, and we would come back in a heartbeat as its a truly magical spot!

The Paradise Cove Resort is a 5-star hotel (national category) on the Yasawas. The Paradise Cove is beautifully located and there are many positives: - Our Paradise Suite with pool (highest room category) was very nice, spacious, not worn out, very cleanly cleaned and with lots of privacy. The huge outdoor pool is very nicely laid out. Full 5 stars for the accommodation. - The a la carte lunch and especially dinner is very good and high quality and meets the highest standards. - Directly from the beach you can snorkel very well and have fantastic conditions with many intact corals and fish. - The island has an easy-to-walk trail with some nice viewpoints which leads to another small beach. - The staff is nice to warm and very eager. - Paradise Cove is one of the few high-quality hotels on the Yasawa archipelago. In our opinion, there is room for improvement in these points: - Training of the service staff: at every meal either a part of the order or the reservation was forgotten or full plates were simply served away. Also, it is not so pleasant when the breakfast buffet is already set up behind you during dinner. - The breakfast buffet is not worthy of a 5-star hotel - there is a lack of food such as cold cuts, cheese, salmon and also juices there are no fresh ones, only from the package. The à la carte items were of very good quality. It would also be great if breakfast was not only available until 10, but until 11. - The general manager from New Zealand was conspicuous by his absence: he was only to be seen when he went to get breakfast or lunch in the kitchen or from the buffet and disappeared again. A GM should definitely maintain contact with the guests. His deputy Alfie, on the other hand, was present and very helpful. - The internet connection is not reliably available - we had frequent (hourly) outages in the room from a few minutes to several hours (not suitable for video calls or working), in the public area the wifi did not work at all for several days. When the internet did work, however, it was decently fast. - After a large amount of money was stolen from the room by a guest 2 weeks prior to our stay (see review), we had a very bad feeling about using the safe, as it could be easily reopened (!)- as is customary when delivered - with 000000, which we are sure the staff also know. Our feedback in this regard unfortunately had no effect. Also, a master key for the rooms was lost twice, which is also not necessarily trustworthy. - There are no daily free water bottles in the room, but you can have empty water bottles filled up for free at the bar with treated seawater. A free accessible water refill station with sustainable glass bottles would be a great and timely upgrade. Tips: - If you really want 5-star level accommodation, you should definitely book the highest room category (Paradise Suite or the Cove Villa) The other rooms have more of a 4-star character, especially the garden rooms. - Individual boat trips should be booked directly at the office, otherwise there is a back-and-forth between the water sports center and the office. - All beaches on the Yasawas belong to Villages and are therefore not open to the public. However, Paradise Cove Resort also has a secluded beach called "Champagne Beach", which can be booked as part of a picnic (FJD 120 per trip) - be sure to book, then you will have the beautiful beach all to yourself, only 5 minutes away by boat. - You can also be taken by boat for a day trip to other resorts (after pre-registration at the corresponding hotel), so you can see other islands and beaches the easiest way.
