This resort has the potential to be one of the best in Fiji, thanks to its good infrastructure and beautiful beaches. However, I encountered several significant issues during my stay: - They should be upfront about all fees to avoid any hidden charges. - Ordering food can be a nightmare if you've got any dietary restrictions, as mistakes are pretty common. -Good luck finding their real number; it's like a puzzle and a code to break and if so, communication with the team was tough and inconsistent, especially regarding fees, leading to contradicting information. - There were frequent overcharging errors for services that weren't provided, which could be easily avoided if signatures were required for all services. Make sure to review your bill before checking out. - During the high season, the resort is overrun with kids, making it noisy and a bit like a high school playground. - Visiting during Christmas can be problematic due to the hurricane season, with a high chance of spending most of your holiday break stuck in your room. In short, carefully reconsider visiting during the high season or hurricane season, and make sure you’re clear about your package and billing details with the resort."

Bed Bugs was our experience but I’ll start from the start. We stayed at Paradise Cove a year or so ago and I’m dumbfounded by the good reviews. I’m only writing now as I don’t normally write reviews but we are looking at resorts for this year and it reminded me how terrible our experience was. We love Fiji and have stayed at various island resorts over the years and this was the worst by far. There must be a big discrepancy in room types we stayed in 2 different rooms (all planned bf we arrived). The first was clean and traditional but rundown, the 2nd bedroom separated by an outdoor bathroom in which the door did not close properly, there was also access from outside to the outdoor bathroom and 2nd room so not ideal for very young kids if you’re an anxious parent. Beach area outside this room was unclean and average. We walked down further to outside the plunge pool bures which must be the nicer rooms but couldn’t book being a family of 4. The beach was nicer here. Then we splurged and got a room for a few nights across the bay only to realise it was infested with BED BUGS. The hotel was fully booked so we had to sleep on a mattress on the floor until it was all sorted, I’m just glad I noticed before we went to bed. Staff also seemed reluctant to ferry us to and from main resort area it was a hassle for them. The main restaurant smelt weird, food was ok but nothing to rave about. Japanese restaurant was good. Pool area run down with nails sticking out of decking. Kids club was very good though and most of the staff were lovely. We were comp’d half a night stay only for the bed bugs despite sleeping on the floor.

⚠️ Be careful with this hotel ⚠️ They charge a mandatory meal plan without any prior notice, and it ends up costing double the price of the accommodation itself. Unbelievable. I’ve never seen anything like this before. You end up spending more on food than on the room, without being informed at the time of booking. Very poor experience and zero transparency.
