My family and I are usually not the kind of people who travel to the same place twice, but after staying at Paradise Cove for only a few days back in 2019, we knew we had to come back here again for a whole week.
Paradise Cove strikes the perfect balance between family-style and professional luxury. The resort isn't too big, but big enough to offer everything you can think of.
Our personal highlights were:
* The amazing coral reef with thousands of fish in all colors and sizes right in front of the resort, less than 10m off the sandy beach. Perfect place to snorkel.
* The 5-star food with free choice between 6-course dinners at the main restaurant and 8 (!) course dinner at their recently added Japanese Sushi style Cove restaurant. For foodies like us, that alone would be reason to stay there.
* The resort is almost exclusively operated by people from the nearby Soso village and helps them to increase their standards of living. Do the village-tour if you can.
* Even when full, the resort doesn't feel crowded at all. Everyone is laid back there. The 3 pools and a whole bunch of offered activities (basked weaving, manta rays snorkel tour, diving, hiking, etc.) make sure it never feels dense.
* Their staff is super friendly and almost always authentically happy. They loved our toddler so much, and after just a few days it felt like we're part of their family, which made it really hard to leave again.
