Working with Aaron & Co was an amazing experience. Thank you very much.

We worked with Aaron to complete an office and carport addition and driveway renovation at our home. The process was fairly simple for us- Aaron was there every step of the way from proposal to design and build, attaining all the necessary permits and inspections, managing all the contractors and schedules, keeping our job site secure. The work was completed quickly and on time, with minimal interruptions to our daily lives. Living in a home under renovation can be stressful, but Aaron took care of every hurdle we encountered quickly and with care towards our family’s needs. I can’t imagine having had to take on this project by ourselves, his professional guidance, kindness and passion for his work was invaluable. We’re very pleased with our new space and the value he helped add to our home.

We knew what we wanted-a place for our daughter to have her own suite, with a kitchen, bath and bedroom. We didn’t know whether it would be an addition or a separate casita. We went to Aaron with lots of ideas, but no knowledge of what was allowed by the city, no knowledge of permits, nor codes. Aaron worked diligently to help us understand what was needed and all our options. He listened, was compassionate, and really cared about us being comfortable in a process that we knew nothing about. The designs he offered were created by carefully assessing our wants and needs. We felt he truly cared as much about us as he did the project. He is a pleasure to work with! His passion is evident.

Aaron has been one of the best contractors I've worked within years on time courteous. Quality Workmanship couldn't ask for a better company to do my jobs.

Aaron is by far the most competent, consistent, correct, and cordial contractor I have ever dealt with. I’m writing this review with several months delay; the project we hired Aaron & Co. for was delivered in September, 2023, with a starting date in April, 2023. After dealing with Aaron, I thought every contractor in Tucson would be of similar quality and ethical standards — oh, was I wrong! Aaron & Co. is the gold standard. And Chuck is a phenomenal, skilled, talented hand. Chuck is not only an asset at the worksite, he also has a great sense of humor. They, along with the different teams that come together for a project, work in timely and respectful fashion. From start to finish, we meticulously planned for each stage of the project in many office visits, where we visualized the floor plan with amazing technologies. Aaron was always interested in making the most elegant and cost-effective design possible; he listened to our feedback and had really great advice to prepare us for what was ahead. He even got us to create an online spreadsheet where we could track every small choice we made in faucets, handles, cabinets. Throughout the construction we had weekly meetings where we addressed pressing issues and he explained the behind-the-scenes. I found his ability to listen and keep his cool the most impressive facet of working with him. I’m beyond glad I chose this company for my dream project. Not only do I admire their workmanship and their professionalism, I think of them as friends now.

I had to carefully check every invoice. We were mischarged multiple times. Aaron tried to charge us $950 for scooting cabinets that were in cardboard boxes from room to room 3 times, which would not have taken an hour. Aaron made up a $280 “transport” charge and when I questioned it, at first he said he wasn’t sure what it was for. He later said it was for Chuck going to get supplies. We were never charged that before, and Chuck said he didn’t even log his time when getting supplies. Then when I was supposed to be credited, I was actually charged twice because someone conveniently forgot to use minus signs!
Chuck also said he didn’t get a contractor’s discount at Home Depot or Lowe’s when getting supplies. I could have gotten a 10% Military discount. We had a cost-plus contract. The plus is 34.2% added on for costs. He then added an additional $3600 per month once the demo began. Everything he bought at Home Depot or Lowe’s cost me 44.2% more than I would have had to pay if I bought it myself.
At this point I wanted to see the large ticket item receipts but Aaron refused to show them to me. He said that we had 30 days to ask for them after we signed the substantial completion form and that the files were closed and would be too time consuming to locate. There was no such verbiage until the final document – which we had to sign in order to get the lean off of our house. This document also stipulated that we couldn’t sue him.
Aaron misled us by making us think a team would be working on our house. He always said “we” but the majority of the time it was only Chuck and he was only here about 4 hours a day. Since his team is essentially a one-man team, Aaron works on multiple houses at the same time and collects that $3600 monthly charge from each client. The longer the job takes the more money Aaron makes.
The ceiling texture had to be completely redone due to poor quality of work. Every tape line was visible and a large bump ran across the entire ceiling. After an extensive argument with Aaron and him getting a $5600 estimate, he finally agreed to give us a $2500 credit to have the drywall fiasco fixed and repainted. He gave us nothing back for the $3600 monthly fee. Chuck wasted weeks of our time and money before finally giving up. We had to hire our own drywaller and repaint again. We had already painted twice. Aaron insisted that was needed in order to see where the drywall issues were - which included walls. That is what a flashlight is for! We ended up having to pay $2600 just to have the ceiling retextured correctly. Aaron tied to get Chuck to do the electrical but thankfully he admitted it was above his skill level - that would have been a fiasco too.
We were not fully compensated for damages done to our front door, security door or pavers. Our countertop has a seam at the sink which is more than ¼” off center and is not level. Our sliding shelves had to be permanently placed because of defects or Chuck inabilities. No space was left for a baseboard next to the fridge. Getting a sink was delayed for a month because Aaron neglected to order a cabinet & our garbage/recycle bins were in the wrong place. Aaron did not apologize or take accountability for his mistakes; he blamed us for signing off on the design. We hadn’t made any changes to the cabinets since the last signing. We didn’t know we had to do his job too. He claimed we were not charged for items we didn’t order and that he had to pay for a cupboard that Pro Source gave us in place of shelves we didn’t like. We find that very hard to believe. Aaron had no problem removing a large closet until it caused a problem with the integrity of the wall it was connected to, so he invented a conversation that never happened saying he discussed the possible problems with us. He then tried to say the structure of the wall would not be under warranty. I could write pages more of other things that went wrong, but I’m all out of review space to say more.

Working with Aaron and his team was such a great experience! From the initial consultation to the design process, Aaron was professional and patient with us. His ideas and knowledge in the industry helped to give us a final design plan that was better than we could have imagined. He truly cares about his clients and work product.

Aaron & Co is a very professional company and we loved working with them. I was most impressed by their office and how they were set up to assist us in making decisions. We viewed 3D renderings on their large display screen and reviewed product samples of cabinets, flooring, countertops, etc.. The office just has a very comfortable and homey feel to it, while being professional. It was a great representation of the company’s level of service, quality, and professionalism. My sons sat on the couch, watching movies and eating popcorn while we met. It was great! What contractor has a couch, snacks, and movies for the kids?!?!

Aaron & Co is a pleasure to work with. Aaron is straight forward as well as easily approachable. Although we haven't gone ahead with our project yet, we have really enjoyed the process of working with them thus far.
