American Flooring of Lansing provided an excellent experience from beginning to end for my carpet purchase. Scott provided excellent customer service. He was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough with information throughout the process. Both the measuring and installation professionals were very experienced, provided detailed information and answered questions. The installation was a lot of work done with precision. Very happy!!

We recently had the pleasure of working with Scott Rose at American Flooring while selecting materials for our new office space, and I cannot speak highly enough of the experience.

The experience I had was wonderful! The team did an excellent job with the flooring and completed it in a timely manner. They said they could get it done in about 3 days and successfully did so. They were kind and very knowledgeable in describing what they were doing along the way. I would highly recommend!

I contracted with American Flooring to replace most of my old carpet and vinyl flooring. I have had a good experience using them prior to this. They worked with me to make sure that the products I chose were applicable to my project. The installers were excellent and answered all of my questions, were on time and did an excellent job. I came in to pick up a sample of flooring I had already ordered so I could choose paint. While looking for the sample, I discovered the store had ordered the wrong flooring. I was able to prove this by showing the manager the text message I had sent to the sales associate (who, to be clear, has always been very nice and helpful).
The manager initially argued with me, claiming the photo didn’t clearly show the color—until he looked at it more closely and realized it did. Sandwich in hand, he reminded me they were closing in five minutes. I wasn’t there to linger; I simply wanted the correct flooring reordered since their mistake had delayed my project.
Because of the time, money, and inconvenience this error caused, I asked if there was any kind of compensation. He gave me a “how dare you” look and said, “Only if you take what was ordered.” That made no sense, and when I mentioned a discount again while leaving, he rudely snapped, “Why don’t you let it come in first?!”
There was no apology, no effort to make things right, and no customer service. I have three more rooms to do and will not be returning. You deserve better—do yourself a favor and don’t come here.

We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Scott and Kevin were so helpful and kind and truly gave us the best deal possible. We love the new shaw carpet as it feels like we are walking on air. Scott and Kevin made adjustments last minute for a space we missed and were so good about it. They made sure we had the best padding and thickness of the carpet. Overall, this was a great interaction as they made us feel comfortable and did not try to up sell us. They just made sure we received exactly what we wanted. They scheduled the installers very quickly and it all went so smoothly. Thank you, Scott, and Kevin for the great experience. I recommend everyone use American flooring.

We originally thought we’d end up at a box store because, well… were frugal. But wow—stopping into American Flooring and working with Kevin and Scott turned out to be one of the BEST decisions my wife and I have made. Forget the box stores entirely. The level of service, communication, and genuine care you get from these guys is on another level.
And I can’t write this review without shining a spotlight on the floor crew. Tim, Keegan, and Kyle were phenomenal. Every single day they left our home spotless, and their attention to detail was unreal. They were professional, upbeat, and clearly take pride in what they do.
If you need flooring, carpet, or tile, do yourself a favor and go straight to American Flooring. These folks are the real deal—you won’t regret it!
