If I could give zero stars, I would. I paid nearly $4,000 to this company based on what was promised, and what I received did not match those promises. That alone is unacceptable. From the beginning, I clearly explained in detail the services I needed. I trusted that this would be handled professionally, but that did not happen. I was later told that their editing does not include organizing the book, structuring pages, or putting the content in proper order, and that only minimal editing would be done. That is not what was communicated to me upfront. When I requested a refund, communication became frustrating. My emails were responded to only once, while the rest went unanswered. Instead, there were repeated attempts to push communication to phone calls rather than responding in writing, which avoids clear documentation. I was in contact with individuals identifying themselves as Ally, Lilly, and Abby as part of the team. Despite this, there was no consistent follow-through or resolution. In particular, Lilly confirmed limitations of the service after the fact that directly contradicted what I was led to believe. This entire experience has felt misleading and extremely unprofessional, especially considering the amount of money involved. I would strongly urge anyone considering this company to take a step back and do their research before moving forward. Do not rush into any agreement. I’m sharing this so others don’t go through what I did. - Afraid to contact another company to help me with edit service. 💯 afraid that I'm going to get the sane experience. Patricia G. - I really loved the girls then this...So frustrated 😠 😡

We started our company without any funding and needed a number of things that would help us set up ourselves as an entity! An office address , a registrar , a facility that could receive any mail / paperwork and help scan process them to us. Stable became our one stop shop and they even extended a discount upfront to help us when we needed them! It’s been 2 years now. We are now a cash flow positive company but we are not looking to move up the ladder, as we already are with the right set up!

The Palmetto Publishing Team is an incredibly talented and hard-working group of individuals that meets the needs of their authors. Beginning with Nicole who sets the table and the programs, Sophia, who was my right-hand contact for all Chapters, changes, edits, and closing out the book publication, she always returned emails and scheduled calls on time. I am currently working with Rachael to monitor monthly sales with pricing adjustments, while Brenna has been contracted for 6-week social media marketing campaign that is in Week 2. I couldn't have selected a more talented and collaborative team of professionals to assist with my book needs. Jack, the CEO of Palmetto Publishing, is reachable and returns emails as well. Communication and Collaboration is at the foundation of Plametto Publishing.

This company is a scam — beware of money hungry vanity presses! Writing this on behalf of my wife, who used this company for her first book. PLEASE save your money. She paid around 8k upfront(of course, they charge you first and then pass you off) and was then passed between three different project managers before even getting halfway through, basically starting over each time because they can’t seem to keep employees. The editing was especially frustrating: you’re essentially asked to do your own edits and it’s framed as “creative control,” which is wild considering how much you’re paying. The lack of professionalism across the board was jarring, from communication to missed details. Overall, it felt like a lot of money for very little actual support. Look elsewhere.

Palmetto Publishing brands itself as “author-centric,” but in reality operates as a pay-to-play vanity press. Authors pay large sums for low-quality services, including outsourced and underpaid design/editing work, minimal editorial standards, and marketing that is mostly AI-generated by bots. Every service is marked up double or more for profit. Save yourself the money and go directly through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing or IngramSpark to publish without paying a cash-grab middleman. Once your book is live, support largely disappears. The promise of “global distribution” is misleading and does not lead to real discoverability or sales. Most authors earn only $1–$100 in royalties after investing $1,000–$20,000. The so-called “Director of Author Success,” often cited in responses to negative reviews, functions more as the director of author pacification. They may claim they “have no record” of working with you if faced with these issues in their reviews; this is only a tactic to dismiss criticism, not a reflection of reality. The only positive reviews appear to come from strategically timed requests sent by managers before they take your money and ghost you—likely an effort to attract new, unsuspecting customers. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this publisher!

PALMETTO professionals have a positive energy in my interactions with them. The company offers a number of creative ways to promote the book. The editorial staff, i.e. those who review the text, seem to be unfocused. This was my second book and I would take my future books to PALMETTO.
