Buyer Beware: After picking Forest Heights for my husband, an assessment on 10/17/24 and another on 11/26/24 deemed him appropriate for Level 2 care. I paid them $2000. A move in date of 12/2/24 was set. I hired a lawyer to review the contract and bought a bed. There were hotel expenses for relatives to help. The total was $1360.88. During Thanksgiving week they asked for more information from the doctor. On 12/2 the truck was backed up to the door. Mid-morning I was notified that my husband was "inappropriate for our community". They'd had 46 days to decide. The lack of action was unethical. Their lack of understanding of a family's emotional, financial, & logistical process in the gut-wrenching decision to move a loved one to a facility demonstrated a high level of administrative incompetence & carelessness. I wrote the CEO and the Executive Director to notify them of our displeasure and request reimbursement for unnecessary expenses. They did not even have the courtesy to respon

This review has been a long time coming. My mother-in-law spent the last few years of her life at the Palms of St. Lucie West and I cannot say enough good things about our experience there. We chose The Palms of SLW for its intimate and cozy (and super clean!) enivironment as well as the care and kindness of its staff. Jennifer and John were so kind, patient and always helpful. The staff on the 2nd floor were so caring, especially Amy and Santie - just amazing! Thank you all for taking such good care of Marie. We so appreciate it!

I stopped in to check out the facility. It was very nice. I like the idea of my loved one living in a Cottage, and then being able to move into Assisted Living if/when it becomes necessary. This is wonderful because my loved one will still be able to see their friends and have the same loving staff and amenities they are used to. Thank you Carol for your time and knowledge you are an asset to the Five Star Community.

Do not put your loved one here As if everything isn't difficult enough, add ELDER NEGLECT on top of it. There has not been a single time my family and I have visited our loved one to see a dirty room and bed, wheelchair, poor personal hygiene, AND WHERE ARE THE CLOTHES?! In the year my grandfather has been here EVERY ARTICLE OF CLOTHING has been lost or swapped! Nothing returns when they take his clothes for laundry he says! Even with nametags sewn in! More money, down the drain. You spend thousands of dollars for what.. their building renovations? Because it surely isn't going to the care of my grandfather or other patients. Staff is more than helpful issuing & taking complaints, happens quite often we were told at the front desk. Shameful. New management every few months, nothing is ever consistent, and these people have no right to call themselves a healthcare facility. Adult Protective Services have been contacted after this most recent visit, one 'customer' won't make a difference, but facilities like this NEED to be shut down or overturned IMMEDIATELY. DISGUSTING!

My visit with Elisa was very positive in multiple ways. She was a good listener regarding my reasons for taking a tour but also understanding my current situation. The facilities are attractive and seem to provide excellent services for residents. The food menu options are exceptional plus floor plan options options are appealing. All in all, the visit was time well spent!

We are so pleased with Sarah, Jamie and the Staff at Home Place of Burlington. They are always available to answer any questions we may have as well as everyone is so kind. We do not worry about our loved one as we know she is well taken care at the Home Place of Burlington.

My mother has been living at Morningside for 6 months, and we could not be happier. The staff is amazing, and they make her feel like she is at home. They take wonderful care of her, and she has become much more social than when she was living at home. She loves all of the activities that are provided each day, as well as going out on weekly trips to restaurants and stores. Moving my mother to this facility was the best choice we could have made for her well-being.
