Billing practices deceptive. Paid $399 and then received a text to confirm the $399, resulting in duplicate charge/payment. Refund request made at the end of March 2026 and have not received a credit as of 4/16/2026. Did receive a bill for another $200 although the test was already paid in full. Have called Genomind billing dept, messages left, and no response. Will dispute the charge with my credit card company and report the additional fraudulent charge of $200 to the state attorney general.

Horrible billing experience. Good test/info. Not knocking that. Advertised $399 from provider. $1100 total all in cost. Genomind would not revert bill to self-pay price when provider gave insurance information. Wound up spending $701 more than advertised. In reading these Google reviews after the fact, it would be a good idea for Genomind to evaluate its billing practices and allow 'patients' the option to elect whether or not their health insurance is involved. Genomind refused to rescind the health insurance claim and allow me to pay them $200 additional to reach the self-pay price, which I readily volunteered. They said, $701 balance due because of health insurance route, or collections agency. Not the right way to do business. I know the company is in the business of helping people with medical information, but they are not in the business of helping patients who buy the test from a financial standpoint if it doesn't benefit Genomind. This whole thing feels like a big billing bait and switch.
