I had an excellent experience working with RenoFi and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a renovation. I first reached out about two years ago while preparing for a home project and was fortunate to connect with Jonathan Smith, who quickly became a trusted advisor. He walked me through several financing options including HELOC and other solutions and helped me choose the best fit for my needs. The entire process was fast, straightforward, and seamless, with everything handled online using modern, easy-to-use technology.

Timely follow upon initial call. Easy to talk over details. Very knowledgeable. Also, the Renofi website is very intuitive, detailed and easy to navigate. The website was well-designed with the end user in mind. Bravo. If you are considering taking on a renovation project, Renofi is highly recommeded. Renofi will be a first-call when embarking upon another project.

I contacted RenoFI Along with several other companies in search for the best HELOC for a home renovation and it was evident from day one that RenoFI was my best option for many reasons - rates, loan terms, length of loan, approval amount, customer service, and the ease of their process. I was connected with Jacob who was beyond patient with me and answered my million questions from day one. I had to put the process on hold for months but when it was time to re-connect, Jacob picked up right where we left off. I had been traveling a lot and him and his team were so patient with me. They answered every email super quick and the process and portal was so easy to navigate. I am so grateful for Jacob and his team! 10/10, Highly Recommended!

WORSE THAN USELESS. Zero integrity. We wasted a year of our lives with them.
They told us (and our builder) what we wanted to hear, starting with claiming that they have a "special" appraisal process that factors in the post-renovation value. They literally claimed "The appraisal will not be an issue."
Complete fabrication. Neither they (or any other loan broker of lender) have any control over the appraisal process. Yes, we should have checked this out before wasting a year of our lives, but we bought the lie hook, line and sinker.
As many have noted on Reddit, RenoFi takes forever--as in WEEKS--to communicate actionable status. They obviously have ZERO IDEA how to operate a loan brokerage business. Any doubts we had about this evaporated when we dealt with 1) A real loan broker and (separately) directly with a credit union. Both had loan documents to sign within a couple of weeks.
We (naively) stuck with RenoFi so long because we believe in their "unique" concept of vetting the project and contractors in order for lenders to loan more than their normal loan-to-value (LTV) limits.
• Great idea, but execution is everything. All hat; no cattle.
If you value your time, avoid these clowns.
