Amanda Snow has been my provider for just under a year, and she displays genuine/true-care every time I visit. Chair-side manner, and medically astute; my visits always give me a different perspective, which is very refreshing - thank you Ms. Amanda !

We were new to this sort of treatment consultation and Dr. Amanda guided us through the conversation in a nonjudgemental, compassionate way. We felt supported and for the first time in a few years we see a plan and pathway to better days ahead.

I have struggled with memory issues and have been diagnosed with several other conditions which have made me very sick over the years. Some days I could not even answer the phone or get out of bed. I have been seeing Dr. Amanda Snow for about 3 years and she has become more dismissive as time has gone on. I missed a few virtual appointments due to my own forgetfulness, and some internet issues caused me to miss others. I would try calling the office to let them know what was going on, so they wouldn’t assume I just blew them off. However, the line is busy 24/7. In fact, I have never called Chesapeake South and had anyone actually answer the phone. Every time, I would get a call back or a text within the next 72 hours. I find that highly unprofessional that the nurse practitioners and doctors don’t make themselves available to patients, especially considering the nature of their careers. I was held to a very high standard for appointment readiness, while Amanda frequently left me in the virtual waiting room for over an hour on several occasions. Today, I was released from Amanda’s care for being 15 minutes late to an appointment -not because of anything I did wrong, but because the link would not allow me to sign in. As always, I called the practice to let them know, but they didn’t answer. Once I finally logged in, I waited for about 20 minutes and received a rude message from a secretary informing me that I was being let go for being an unreliable patient. I wasn’t able to screenshot this, because in the middle of our conversation, she closed out the meeting. I was able to read the note saying she had called in my prescriptions, but was not informed of which pharmacy she sent them to. Amanda did this in the middle of a mental health crisis I was having, knowing that my life is in danger, knowing that my medications are not stable. This was incredibly insensitive and unprofessional on her part. I thought we had a better relationship and would’ve expected more from her. Especially considering I did pay for my missed appointments and explained to her that I struggle with memory loss. She also is a serial prescriber. She wanted to put me on 10 different meds at a time and never really listened to the side effects or how any of them made me feel. Looking back, I think my decline in mental health was partially due to her negligence in prescribing. Moving on, I would not wish this practice on my worst enemy. Take the 5 star reviews with a grain of salt. This place is probably better for people with one issue (anxiety or bipolar) who just need a prescriber. If you have more than one condition, you’ll be treated poorly, especially if it included memory issues. They have no patience for that, which is funny considering the meds they prescribe literally cause memory loss and brain fog. If you don’t have insurance, expect to pay $75 for each appointment as well. Never miss an appointment, there is no leniency. The clinicians are glorified drug dealers. Patients are just numbers.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Justin since 2019, and he’s helped me more times than I can count, no matter what I was dealing with. He’s genuinely invested in his patients and truly wants to see them get better. His entire team and the practice as a whole are excellent. I recommend him to everyone I know. If you’re thinking about booking an appointment, you absolutely should.
