Better late than never I guess.
Had such a fun time at Solid, spring time, that my 2 weeks ended up being 6. When I came I was a bit nervous that it would be to advanced for me since I’m a beginner. But it turned out to be amazing, with crystal clear water, some smaller waves and incredible instructors. They really take care of you and tell you everything you need to know. I felt very safe and comfortable in the water and I feel that my surfing really improved thanks to them.
The house and rooms are beautiful, with very comfy beds. The food is just delicious and it’s a lot! Everyone on site is so kind and they do an amazing job. They really take care of you and see to all your needs. After staying such a long time it felt like I was amongst family and friends. Can’t recommend enough! Hoping to be back soon

Solid zorgde voor een relaxte surf vakantie. Erg lief personeel die altijd voor je klaar staan. Het eten was super lekker en de instructeurs zorgde voor een goede sfeer en tips tijdens het surfen. Overal top week!

To anyone deciding on what surf camp or accommodation in mentawai. Try solid. I was between a few options and had a good feeling on solid. Glad I chose them! Amazing property, team and services and oh the food was on point every single meal.
Can’t wait to return! Kudos to the team on their hard work, constant positive energy and amazing surf services!

Beautiful place. Very friendly people. Other months might, but late July doesn’t offer surfing conditions for absolute beginners. If you have a little bit of experience (not “skills”) you’ll be allright, especially because of the fun and helping instructors.

Overall, it was an awesome spot! Definitely on the pricier side, but totally worth every penny. The surf instructors were super helpful and easy to get along with. The food was incredible, and the staff were always welcoming and friendly—no matter what time of day. The transfers to and from the airport and ferry were always on time, super friendly, and really efficient, which made the whole experience even smoother. I’d absolutely recommend it!

Incredible holiday location with the sweetest staff!!
We stayed at Solid in May and June 2025 and had such an awesome time there. Originally, we had only booked 10 days, but then extended our stay for as long as possible. We really could not have asked for more.
There were plenty of highlights, but to call out a few:
• The surf coaching was next level. I've been surfing for years, and have not made as much progress as quickly as I did during the time at Solid. Our instructor Luke was always keen on heading out, made sure we went to the perfect spots, and gave amazing feedback in a super constructive manner.
• Our host Tim's hospitality and good vibes made every day a relaxing holiday experience. Everything was taken care of, and there was nothing to worry about. He really made sure we had the best experience, and his daily Yoga sessions were a perfect addition in between surf sessions.
• Leon's and William's cooking was INSANE. Think Michelin-star-level food in a tropical paradise in the middle of nowhere. The freshness, the variety, the attention to detail, the amounts... incredible.
Overall, we just want to give a big shoutout to this place and its people, and say THANK YOU for our time there.

I came to Solid Surf House hoping to disconnect for a bit, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better place for that. I met the most amazing people and can’t get over how genuinely friendly and welcoming everyone was, from the staff to the guests.
The place itself is unreal: beautiful, clean, and perfectly located in paradise. I was a bit nervous about the food since I can be a picky eater… but wow, I ended up loving every single meal! So good!
We had a few stormy days when we couldn’t surf, it’s part of the sport, and for me, it didn’t matter. The people made everything enjoyable. Whether we were hanging out, playing games, surf skating and riding scooters, or enjoying the water activities. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of coming back.
