I want to specifically recognize Thomas Ward, the used car manager at Garber Buick, for how he handled a post-sale issue with my van.
After an independent shop identified a leaking oil housing unit and quoted the repair significantly higher, I contacted Thomas directly. He asked me to bring the vehicle in, confirmed the issue, and took ownership of resolving it.
Rather than deflecting or minimizing the problem, Thomas explained the situation clearly and made a judgment call to cover the majority of the repair cost, leaving me with a reasonable out-of-pocket expense.
That kind of decision-making builds long-term trust. Mistakes can happen, but leadership shows in how they’re addressed. Thomas handled this professionally and fairly, and that matters.
