After visiting a general dentist in the Orlando area, and trusting him implicitly, I spent a tremendous amount of money to have him place zygomatic implants, and was to awake from the procedure with “all on 4 teeth”. Instead, I awoke with no teeth and was in that condition for over four months.
I spent months contacting at least eight dental surgeons, none of whom would see me. Nobody wanted to deal with somebody else’s poor work.
Just this past January, I obtained an appointment with Dr. Kenneth Anderson (surgeon) and prosthodontist, Dr. Philip Hedger, both highly recommended. I didn’t mind traveling the 2 1/2 hours to their office, because I was so grateful that they were kind enough and caring enough to take on my case, especially after so many had refused.
After proposing and completing their treatment plan, I now have implant supported teeth that I absolutely love. Their equipment and procedures are state of the art. I visited two of their offices in Trinity and Spring Hill (the Pikos Institute for Same Day Teeth…Coastal Jaw Surgery). So often, I read reviews which focus on how pleasant everyone in the offices are. That is certainly true of both of these offices, and I found the doctor’s assistant’s (Sonya and Paula) to be more than competent.
However, I want to focus on these doctor’s talent and expertise. I’ve since found that people from all over the country visit Coastal Jaw Surgery to train. Zygomatic implants are designed for people with severe bone loss, and they are much more complicated to place. The skill of the surgeon is of utmost importance.
After proposing and completing their treatment plan, I now have implant supported teeth, which I absolutely love. I consider myself very fortunate to have been treated by these two men. I can’t recommend them highly enough. If you want to be treated by professionals who put the welfare of their patients first, and who are caring and trustworthy, visit, Coastal Jaw Surgery - whether your dental needs are simple or complicated. You will be in good hands.
