The Dr's and staff at chu vision institute are top notch. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable, very helpful, and super kind. You are informed and made comfortable from beginning to the end and beyond. Any questions comments or concerns are answered by there wonderful staff. If you need any help they are there for you. If the world operated like chu vision, we would all be alot better off.I really can't say enough, do yourself a favor and give them a call. Thanks again chu vision your the absolute best

I thought everyone from the person directing me to the parking place to the front desk, the tech and the doctor-all were super pleasant and helpful. I appreciated the welcomeness, but also that during all of my tests and exams, things were explained to me rather than just glossing over it. And in the end, the doctor said "you have some small cataracts", which I had heard before, and "I don't think laser correction would be all that helpful for your current vision". I wouldn't have known any better, not having done much research if she had said "Oh, you should have this surgery", but she was honest, answered my questions, even about the cataracts, which is not why I was even there. When I expressed surprise that she said that I shouldn't have any corrective surgery until my cataracts are worse she just said "Well, they are your eyes. We don't want to do surgery unless we have to." I was impressed from beginning to end

In September I had cataract surgery with a trifocal lens replacement. Before surgery my vision was so limited without my glasses. I couldn’t see to read or sew. My distance vision was so bad that I even had to wear my glasses to curl my hair. The first night after surgery I could the words on the TV screen with no glasses. By the end of the first week I was sewing with no glasses. It’s been 6 weeks now since surgery and it’s truly amazing! It’s been so life changing. Besides the unbelievable change in my vision, I’d also like to share how amazing the whole staff is here!! The whole procedure was just so easy. It was all so extremely organized. Everybody was beyond kind and helpful and so positive. The procedure itself was so fast. I never felt any pain. I felt so comfortable and relaxed the whole time. Having this procedure was the best decision I’ve ever made!! I highly recommend the Chu Vision Institute!!

I am extremely satisfied and happy with my LASIK procedure at Chu Vision. Their entire staff (receptionists, technicians, nurses and doctors) are friendly and professional. Dr. Chu and Dr. Jessica Heckman were absolutely top notch! I wore wearing glasses to correct my farsightedness for close to 30 years. After my LASIK procedure, I'm now seeing 20/20 or better.

After a consultation, it was suggested lens replacement surgery would be a good option for me. Having never gone through surgery before (and never having anesthesia), you can imagine I was pretty nervous. Dr. Chu and his staff were so wonderful to me throughout the entire process. They really took the time to get to know me. They even discovered I’m a huge David Bowie fan, and they played “Let’s Dance” (a favorite) as they wheeled me into the operating room for eye surgery #1! ⚡️
Fast forward: Excellent post-op appt. with Chu Vision Institute after eye surgery #2. Confirmed both eyes are at 20/25 (and that’s without any adjustments)! Still need readers, but I don’t mind. Healing well already. I commented to my husband, John, on our drive to Bloomington that it was the first time in 10 years that I’ve been able to clearly read all of the freeway signs. Miraculous. Best thing I’ve ever done. Thanks so, so much!

Amazing experience!! I was very nervous to get LASIK, but Dr. Chu and his team made the whole experience wonderful. The testing was thorough and they have lots of resources to help you understand your options. They make surgery day so exciting- you even get pictures taken! During surgery, Dr. Chu was great at talking me through the entire process and making me feel comfortable. You get a warm blanket and stuffed animal to hold- they thought of everything! The next day, I had 20/20 vision! So amazing. I highly recommend!! I wouldn’t go anywhere else in the Twin Cities!

In 2014 I had my right eye cataract remove. It was not a happy experience. Several years later I knew I would need to have my left eye done. Sept 21, 2022 I had it removed. This was such a different experience. At Chu Vision Institute I am a live person, not just a body going through an assembly line. Chu Clinic makes sure they know your eyes. They do multitude of tests, ask questions so they know which lens you need.i am very happy with my experience with Dr Chu.

I recently had cataract eye surgery at the Chu Vision Institute in Bloomington, Minnesota. Cataract surgery is all about testing, exams, preparation, and follow-up, post surgical care. As I went through the process at Chu Vision Institute I was amazed at the efficiency and professionalism of the medical staff at the clinic. I lost count of the number of individuals there who courteously guided me through the many exams using more high-tech eye exam machines than I knew existed. At every step of the way I was treated with an impressively high degree of professionalism and courtesy. All my questions were answered and I went into surgery with confidence and zero anxiety. The clinic is probably the busiest medical clinic I have ever seen, yet I never felt "lost in the shuffle" or rushed. The expression which kept coming to mind was that the clinic operates "like a well-oiled machine" without making the patient feel like a "cog in the machine." On the day of my second procedure, I told Dr. Chu that he can be rightfully proud of what he has built at the Chu Vision Institute. I would recommend Dr. Chu and his amazing staff of professionals to anyone considering any kind of eye surgery offered at the clinic.
